Strive EVERY day to dedicate time to things that give you joy. This is known scientifically to decrease cortisol levels (helps in controlling diabetes), decreases the presence of negative acting neurotransmitters in the brain (increasing overall sense of well-being and helping induce good sleep), and helps in establishing social bonds that make life worth living.

Item #11 for GoodHealth - Weight for it! Not everybody has the time and/or money to have a gym membership. Not everybody has the space to have an area set up in their home for barbells, weights, and equipment. What almost EVERYBODY does have is a chair. A quick search on video websites like YouTube will provide a MOUNTAIN of information on workouts you can do at home with nothing more than things you already have there. Any exercise (including walking your dog around your neighborhood) can add to your overall health and well-being. These things are free, at your fingertips, and will add to your life experience.

Item #10 for GoodHealth - Sugar, Sugar. Since we were children, we've become accustomed to liking sweet things. And as treats, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. Few folks realize just how BAD consuming the amount of sugar that the average American is exposed to you overall health. You may not have thought about it, but it's about 60 POUNDS per year. Sugar is a priority ingredient in so many prepared foods (not just candy) that we consume EVERY DAY. I call sugar "cancer food". If you crave something sweet, reach for something with natural sweetness, like fruit. Your body with thank you for it.

Item #9 for GoodHealth - Food for thought. The old saying is as true today as it was then. You are what you eat. What you eat, when you eat, and (believe it or not) HOW you eat have a HUGE impact on your overall health. Here is a general rule for you - try to make your diet filled with things that were "provided" for you by nature. Plants, fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts, etc are food sources that NATURE provides to nourish your body, mind, and spirit. Try to limit how much processed foods you eat and learn to read the labels as you peruse the grocery store.

We want to apologize for lack of telephone service. A piece of Comcast equipment died and they won't replace it until Thurday. So much for the BS ad you see on every TV station on the dial for Comcast Business. You can still send in your refill requests using either the RefillRx app or using the website.

Item #8 for GoodHealth - Smile! One of the easiest things to be in control of (and yet the most overlooked) is dental health. Good dental health and hygiene is key to long term healthfulness. Everybody HATES the visit to the dentist, but it's essential over time. Abscesses and cavities lead to problems and discomfort for the average person in the US. The solution is easy. Multiple brushing sessions and flossing, along with the proper use of dental hygiene products (including proper rinses and toothpastes) can deter problems down the road. Rinse, floss, brush, repeat.

Item #7 for GoodHealth - Trust your gut! If your gastrointestinal tract is out of whack, as so many people's are (especially women), your overall health suffers. Occasional irregularity is common. Bouts of such events that last for days, weeks, or even months are NOT. Adding yogurt to your diet can be beneficial, but if you don't like yogurt (like me), adding a probiotic supplement to your vitamin regimen can reap rewards well beyond better bathroom habits. Take a little time and research all the benefits of a health gut. Specifically, look how much a health gut rewards you with a better functioning IMMUNE SYSTEM.
