For twenty five years, ASC has been a place where meaningful connections, compassionate care, and unforgettable moments shape every day. To celebrate this milestone, we asked our residents and team members to finish the phrase “ASC is…” and share the first thing that comes to mind.

Congratulations Raquel Lopezfilio, Activities Assistant/CNA, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Raquel has been our Activities Assistant for three years, with 20 years as a CNA. She originally discovered her passion for helping others when she was in high school and has shown outstanding dedication in her roles. She creates moments of joy, connection and belonging. Her work reminds us that little things, like a smile or a kind word, can make the biggest difference.

Raquel’s creativity knows no limits. Whether it’s planning an engaging activity, adapting to a residents’ needs or simply sharing a smile, the joy she brings to our community. She listens, cares and makes each person feel valued and seen.

Raquel was born and raised in Peru, South America. In 2004, she and her husband of 25 years, Ricardo, came to the USA ,becoming American citizens in 2009. She has four children and recently became a grandma! She has a dog named Jamie, and loves nature and animals. She enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and discovering new places.

The difference Raquel makes isn’t just in activities but in the lives she touches with her outstanding service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to making life better for our residents. She brings creativity, energy and genuine care to everything she does, making every day brighter for our residents. She has an incredible heart, talent and passion that she brings to our team every single day.

Raquel’s advice to all is to be kind, be positive, ask God for wisdom, and follow your dreams. We are grateful Raquel follows her own advice and we are very fortunate to have her on our team.
