What a great day here at New Castle Nursing and Rehab! Today for Nursing Home Week, we enjoyed an amazing performance by Terry Lee sponsored by Second Wind Dreams all while cooling off with some delicious popsicles. He had us all “shook up” with his incredible piano playing and entertaining performance! Our residents and staff had such a fun time singing along, laughing, and making memories together.🌴☀️

We officially kicked off Nursing Home Week with lots of tropical fun, festive decorations, and amazing entertainment by Miss Jeanette! She kept everyone smiling, and engaged with her fun and interactive performance. Residents and staff had such a wonderful time celebrating together, and this is only the beginning of a great week ahead! 🌴🌺

Wow, what an incredible day! We celebrated the ending of Staff Appreciation Week and then continued the joy by celebrating our amazing mothers for Mother’s Day. It was such a special day filled with laughter, appreciation, and so many wonderful memories.

Lunch was provided by Mackadocious Smoke Show, and it was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We wrapped up the week on the highest note with delicious food and heartfelt celebration. We are so thankful for our hardworking staff and for the incredible women we had the honor of celebrating today. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so meaningful and memorable!

Every day is a great day to be at New Castle Nursing and Rehab, but yesterday was an extra sweet one. Our residents had a blast making candy bouquets — some for themselves and then a few extra for a couple of staff members they chose who they feel truly go above and beyond. Along with the bouquets, they included heartfelt cards to share just how much those extra efforts mean to them.

With February being the month of love, it was the perfect reminder that appreciation and kindness go both ways — and we’re definitely feeling the love from both sides. 💕

A big thank you to Cece, Della, and Darcia for always showing up and showing out for our residents. Your dedication and compassion never go unnoticed! 💗

We had a great time today making heart-shaped pizzas with our residents 🍕❤️
Everyone enjoyed getting hands-on, picking out their favorite toppings, and making just a little bit of a mess along the way. Lots of laughs, lots of pizza, and lots of fun shared together!

Activities like this are a fun way to bring everyone together and make the day a little extra special.
