Easterseals supporters showed up and spoke out at the Joint Finance Committee state budget hearings yesterday.

Cassie shared her inspiring journey of landing her dream job with the help of her Direct Support Professional(DSP). "Jackie, my Direct Support Professional, has helped me every step of the way. She believed in me, even when things were hard. When I got discouraged, she reminded me not to give up. When I had questions or problems, she helped me figure them out. Because of her support, I have a job I love."

President/CEO Ken Sklenar urged lawmakers to support funding to sustain critical services for adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and ensure DSP's are fairly compensated for the essential work they do.
