At Meadowwood, we believe that each patient is unique. Our staff works closely with patients and their families in order to understand the specific issues that the patient is facing in order to create an individualized treatment plan. The personalized treatment plan will focus on treating the whole person and not the symptoms of the illness. At Meadowwood, we work hard to ensure that each of our patients leaves ready to live a healthy life and enjoy freedom from addiction.

At a recent community provider meeting, our Business Development team made sure our partners left with a clear understanding of how we’re directly supporting our patients and community members.

They also left with a goody bag filled with self-care items, because caring for the community starts with caring for ourselves.

Stress doesn’t only affect your mood. It can influence your entire physical health. When stress continues over time, it may lead to headaches, stomach discomfort, and elevated blood pressure, along with emotional strain. Healthy habits like exercising, getting enough sleep, and maintaining social connections can help.

Women’s History Month invites us to celebrate the leadership and determination of women who have shaped modern healthcare. Their expertise and compassion continue to guide progress and inspire future generations. From direct patient care to operational leadership, women are central to meaningful change.

In rehabilitation settings, women have championed innovation and patient centered care that promotes independence and long term success. We recognize and appreciate the women on our team and in our community whose dedication supports healing every day.

Our Story

MeadowWood Behavioral Health System, located in New Castle, Delaware, is a 120-bed psychiatric and addiction treatment facility located on 11 private acres. We are a top provider for adolescent, adult, and geriatric mental health and substance abuse treatment services in the area. As a psychiatric and addiction detox treatment facility, we offer a safe and comfortable environment where patients can leave the stress of the outside world behind and focus completely on their recovery.

Our entire staff is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all individuals who come to us looking for a higher quality of life. As trained behavioral health professionals, we coordinate individualized psychiatric treatment plans and safe detox programs with health care providers, family members, and other community supports. Our physician-led team of behavioral health clinical professionals focuses on treating each person individually rather than as a member of a group. We do not simply treat the symptoms afflicting our patients, we treat the entire person as a whole. Additionally, we believe that by keeping open communication between clinical team members, our patients, and the patient’s families, we are able to provide exceptional customer service that ensures the focus is always on our patients in helping them find long-lasting, successful recovery.
