Get ready to "Ruck the River" with Reps For Responders and Strides For Service!

This event is all about challenging yourself while enjoying the great outdoors. The event is open to anyone!

Grab your rucksack weighted vest, or walk with no weight, bring your friends, pack some snacks, and let’s ruck! You can choose your adventure of 5, 10 or 15 miles. All proceeds from this event benefit the Reps For Responders 501c3 wellbeing programs for first responders.

THIS IS A NON COMPETITIVE RUCK. THE GROUP WILL BE TOGETHER! OUR GOAL FOR THIS RUCK IS TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY AND FIRST RESPONDERS AS ONE! SHARE STORIES, FIGHT THE STIGMA OF MENTAL HEALTH AND BE ALL IN..TOGETHER TO FIGHT AGAINST SU***DE AND ADDICTION.

ADDED SUGAR CONSUMPTION FOR THE DAY

Sugar has become one of the largest problems in our diet. People are unaware how much sugar they are consuming every day because of all the hidden sugar. Sticking to a plant based diet and avoiding processed foods will help you reduce your sugar intake. When reading a food label look for “Added Sugar”. Please use the recommendations below to guide you!


Look on food labels for “Added Sugar”- This is the sugar you need to limit in your day.


1 Teaspoon of Sugar= 4 grams


1 Teaspoon of sugar contains 16 calories


6 Teaspoons of “Added Sugar” (=25grams of Sugar)- This is the maximum recommendation for woman in a day. (Approximately 100 calories per day)


9 Teaspoons of “Added Sugar” (=38 grams of Sugar)- This is the maximum recommendation for men in a day. (Approximately 150 calories per day)
