The Solar Eclipse (Surya Grahana) will occur from 08:05 AM to 10:42 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 according to San Jose - CA time. The period of time of the eclipse is called the "Punya Kaala." This is the sacred time for doing psychic NARAYNA, as stated in Shastras.
We should be in 'Upavaasa' (Fasting) starting from 10:05 pm (Previous Night) on Friday October 13, 2023.
Everyone must take bath after the beginning and end of the eclipse time, it'll be equivalent to Pavithra Snana. Everyone has to fast and do Japa, Pooja and Stotra Paaraayana to get special Blessings of this auspicious time.

People who were born in these Nakshatra - Raashiโs should do special prayers to remove their Grahana dosha. Some pariharaas are chanting Vishnu Sahasra Naamaa, Adithya Hrudaya Homa / Parayana, Shiva Stuthi, Navagraha Stotra and Pradakishana Namaskaara of the Lord.

But with the use of Darba being kept on these items, their shuddatwa will be maintained and one can use the same after Grahana also.
