Murphy Emergency Preparedness Training & Services Murphy Emergency Preparedness Training, & Services is a part time LLC. I teach First-Aid,CPR,AED,& CABS Classes. I have 25 years as an EMT, & Instructor.

And I do standby for special events as a National Registered EMT.

Well with the rising cost of everything, I have decided not to renew my NREMT, SD EMT-I, ND EMT, & Instructor certifications.
32 years is a long time in EMS
positions. At 57 years old my hearing is going and eye sight.
Not to mention 10 years on kidney dialysis. My mind says yes but body is thinking otherwise 😕. I have enjoyed working with wonderful people and on some amazing crews. (Fire/Rescue, EMS, Hospital) 15 or so years as a CNA.
what's next you may ask?
I still like emergency management, and teaching so I will still work with scouts on First-aid and CPR adventures and merit badges. And continue to take the classes in Emergency Chaplain from the Assembly of God Theological Seminar.

18 years multiple certifications in the VFD. 32 years NREMT, 20 some years AHA Instructor.

🚸 Back-to-School Safety Reminder 🚸

It’s that time of year! 📚🚌 When you see a school bus with the stop arm extended and red lights flashing, you must stop — from both directions — on any road that is not divided by a physical median or barrier.

⚠️ Flashing lights mean the bus is stopping or has just stopped. Children may cross the road from either direction, so all lanes of traffic must come to a complete stop.

ND Century Code 39-10-46 requires drivers to remain stopped until:
✅ The bus moves again
✅ The driver signals you to proceed
✅ The lights and stop arm are no longer activated

New Penalty updated August 1, 2025 (HB 1294 – 69th Legislative Assembly): Passing a stopped school bus now comes with a $250 fine and 6 points on your driver’s license.
