Staff Spotlight: Chelsea Darrow
Since 2019, Chelsea Darrow has provided occupational therapy services to both the inpatient and outpatient populations at Sitrin and has enjoyed every minute of it. “I have always loved being an occupational therapist! I can't imagine myself working in any other field.”
Chelsea expresses many reasons why she loves what she does, but the one thing she enjoys the most is how rewarding it feels to make a difference in someone’s life. “Over the years I have spent as an occupational therapist, I have been able to witness and support many people in overcoming significant obstacles to achieve their goals and regain meaningful function. Bearing witness to this human resiliency and getting to play a part in that is such a gift.”
"Chelsea truly exemplifies what it means to be an occupational therapist,” says James Wallace, director of clinical rehabilitation services. “She works diligently to serve both the inpatient and outpatient populations at Sitrin and was instrumental in developing Sitrin’s women’s pelvic health program, expanding access to specialized care for our community. I am both grateful and fortunate to have her as a valued member of Sitrin’s rehabilitation team."
Chelsea and her husband Brett reside in the Adirondack foothills with their three children Lachlan, Blair, and Emma. When not working, she enjoys gardening, skiing, running, and reading.
