My first experience with labor was nothing what I expected! I ended up being induced, my epidural failed, and my baby’s heart rate was rather low for most of it. BUT I had a doula who was able to help me through the experience. Without her help I feel like my labor would have absolutely ended in a c-section (which isn’t bad!)
Having this relationship with her is what made me consider the transition to becoming a doula myself!

What even is a doula? Your labor cheerleader! Different than a midwife, but just as helpful! While we don't take care of the medical aspect, we keep your emotions and wishes as top priority. We are there to hold your hand, give support to you and your partner, and help keep you knowlegable about everything happening during your labor.
