Wednesday, the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven was delighted to welcome a delegation from sister city, Afula. The group spent the afternoon touring our community—exploring the JCC campus, visiting BEKI, and taking in iconic New Haven landmarks including Yale University and the Beinecke Library.

The visit concluded with a meaningful dinner at The Towers, where the delegation met with both Jewish and non-Jewish community partners. The conversations were warm, engaging, and full of ideas for future collaboration.

At The Towers staff development is a continual priority. We are thrilled that members of our Support Services Team completed their initial DISH SOAP certification, which is our custom approach to non-clinical notetaking. This strengthens our ability to help support our residents and we are very proud of our team for achieving their certification.

LeadingAge, national older adult advocacy group, held its conference in Boston, with over 7,000 providers in attendance. Gustave Keach-Longo, President/CEO, and Jesse Wescott, VP, participated in this impactful gathering, which always leads to new ideas and partnerships. We are grateful for all that LeadingAge does to advance senior care.

Under the vision and leadership of Gustave Keach-Longo, our President/CEO, and our Board of Directors, The Towers celebrated the completion of a 10M Ground Floor Renovation Project. Our Ribbon Cutting was a celebration of all our supporters: the State of CT, Governor Ned Lamont, The CT Department of Housing, CHFA, Mayor Justin Elicker and the City of New Haven along with all of our private donors. We're also grateful to Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro for the federal funds that were administered by the state.

Recently, Jesse Wescott, Vice President, attended a continuing education program through Quinnipiac University on Leading High Impact Teams. Leaders from a multitude of industries gathered to discuss trends, best practices.

We are always grateful for our first responders here at The Towers. Last week, our team partnered with members of the New Haven Fire Department to review our enhanced fire alarm system and to tour our renovated spaces. It is an honor to work alongside these heroes, who keep our community safe, and we’re thankful for their time.
