Last week, Towers team members and their families spent some time furthering our partnership with the Catherine Voilet Hubbard Foundation during their annual Butterfly Party. We’re delighted to support our partner and had a wonderful time exploring Monarch butterflies. We are also grateful for the important work that the CVH Foundation does to support our furry friends right here at The Towers.

Special thanks to all the loyal customers of our Vine Family Gift Shop which supports all the activities of our Resident Association. Through our Towers Foundation our community enjoys events like our recent Wine & Cheese Celebration. We are grateful to donors like the Vines, who make a lasting impact.

Ongoing training is a focus of The Towers and today our staff were lucky to have our President/CEO Gustave Keach-Longo in the role of instructor, reviewing the signs of elder abuse and neglect. Regular education ensures that our staff is prepared, ready and supportive.

They will be with us throughout the academic year working on evidence-based programming and individual work with our seniors. Recently The Towers was able to gift two residents, yearlong access to Elli Q, an AI based home companion, which is manufactured and designed in Isreal. Thanks to Moziac Senior Life’s Institute on Aging, these residents will enjoy conversation and engagement. Elli will learn their interests and share articles, photos and interactive sessions with other users of Elli Q.

This is just one example of how The Towers continues to use and explore technology in meaningful ways.

The Towers co-generator supplies energy to our campus and also provides savings used to ensure that residents in need of nutritious meals can receive a subsidy. To date, she's run 32,000 hours and is getting serviced today to run another 32,000. Thanks to this incredible program we have subsidized 234,630 meals to those in need. Special thanks to the Department of Energy, Senators Blumenthal and Murphy, and all the private donors for making an impact through this initiative.
