We had a great time at the Career Fair at Southern Connecticut State University today!

We’re especially excited to share that our very first Communications & Social Media Intern will be joining us next month, a meaningful step as we continue building opportunities for students who want to learn this work with intention and heart.

At Parents’ Foundation for Transitional Living, marketing isn’t just promotion, it’s a responsibility. We believe in trauma-informed storytelling, honoring lived experiences with dignity, and protecting confidentiality at every step. Every story shared should empower, never exploit. Every message should reflect respect, never assumption.

We look forward to supporting more students who want to learn how ethical, compassionate communication can make a real impact in the mental health field.

If you're passionate about purposeful storytelling and community-centered work, we’d love to connect. 💙

Mental health shapes how we think, feel, and connect each day. At Parents’ Foundation, we believe caring for your mind is just as important as caring for your body.

We’re excited to introduce our newly founded Fashion Club, an idea that came straight from our residents. This space gives residents the chance to design, decorate, and express themselves through their own clothing. We’re proud to support creativity that starts within our community and can’t wait to see what else gets created.

Connection looks different for everyone, and sometimes it looks like paint brushes, shared laughter, and a calm space to create 💕🎨

Our Valentine’s Day Sip & Paint allowed residents to express themselves, build community, and enjoy a moment of creativity together. These small moments of togetherness play a big role in healing and growth.

How are you really doing today?

At Parents’ Foundation, we encourage small mental health check-ins that build awareness, compassion, and growth. Pause, reflect, and give yourself permission to name what you need; one moment at a time.

On CT Buzz today, we shared what “home” really means at Parents’ Foundation.
Residential living is not just about housing; it’s about community, safety, support, and a place to rebuild. By myth-busting mental health and ending stigma, we create spaces where recovery can truly begin.

Can’t wait to be back in May to continue this conversation for Mental Health Awareness Month.
