The residents have decided since we have so many jars of pickles, they would like to sell them to raise proceeds for their bingo store. Pickles will be $5 per jar, if you are interested in purchasing you a jar please stop by our main office Monday thru Friday 8am til 3p. Thank you!

On the first Monday of every month we have a birthday party to celebrate all residents with birthday in that month. We are blessed to have Carol Kuhlman for a sing along, Memorial Baptist Ladies group donates homemade pillows for each resident celebrating a birthday, and different businesses/groups donate our cakes. This month the ladies from Trinity Lutheran brought our cake!

Check out our garden!! Last fall we used funds from our Activity fund to purchase these raised beds. This spring the residents planted tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and zinnias. We had our first harvest of zucchini this week. Up next homemade zucchini bread!

Today we attended the Beauty is Ageless pageant at Grand View Care Center in Valley Park. We are excited to announce that Karen won QUEEN FOR DISTRICT THREE! She will attend the State Beauty is Ageless Pageant in Branson at the end of August!

When a veteran passes away in our home we try to always do a honor walk as they are leave our home. We cover the veteran in a American flag, read the the blessing of the shroud prayer, and stand in silence as taps plays. While staff stand along the halls we give them a silent farewell honor they deserve. Tonight we lost a long term resident who proudly served in the Vietnam War. Despite it being a Friday evening our staff showed up on their time off or stayed a hour after their shift ended to show their respect to the veteran and family. I always have known our staff stands above the rest, but seeing them tonight made me remember how truly blessed we are❤️

Today we celebrated Vickie Dierking retirement. Vickie has give 28 years of service to New Haven Care Center. Board member Gary Kuhn said it best today, NHCC has been through ups and downs, but our long term employees are people who never gave up. They showed up everyday and gave it their best and for that we are extremely grateful. Vickie enjoys those grandkids. Thank you for everything ❤️
