At Family Fun Day, we not only celebrated Mary Wade’s 159th birthday but also the talents of our residents. 💙 Alfred, an Adult Day Center Client, shared his artistic gift by creating portraits for guests, making the day even more memorable.

Rose Santos was a beloved part of the Mary Wade family. As a member of our housekeeping team for nearly a decade, she cared for others with kindness and pride—and in her later years, we were honored to care for her in return.

Born three months early in 1937, Rose was a fighter from the start. A breast cancer survivor and lifelong New Haven resident, she faced life’s challenges with strength, grace, and a contagious smile. Her positivity gave hope to many, and her encouragement lifted everyone around her.

Even years after she retired, Rose never forgot her Mary Wade family—always asking about familiar faces, especially Mr. Hunter, who continues to lead our mission after 43 years.

Rose spent her final year at Mary Wade’s Kimberly Skilled Nursing Center. We’re grateful for her legacy, her service, and the joy she brought to so many. 💗 She’ll always be remembered.

We’re excited to host the Mary Wade Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the award-winning Robert Trent Jones Signature Course at Lyman Orchards Golf Center.

The day includes breakfast, a full round of golf, reception, luncheon, awards, and raffle. All skill levels are welcome.
