Heads up, Yale Health community: Parking is limited at the 55 Lock Street garage due to snow removal on the 4th level and heavy traffic at the ID Center.

Please plan for extra time or consider using the Yale Shuttle when visiting this week. We’re coordinating with Yale Parking to increase space for patient access.

Happy National Infusion Nurses Day! 💉

We’re grateful for our outstanding IMAC nurses and the difference they make for patients every day. We celebrated with a team luncheon and a continuing education session—learning, connecting, and growing together.

A severe winter storm is expected this weekend, with dangerous travel conditions. Out of an abundance of caution—and to keep our patients and staff safe—we’re adjusting operations on Monday.

🏥 Limited onsite services will be available:
- Acute Care: Open 8 AM–10 PM, Pediatric coverage 10 AM–3PM (24/7 phone guidance: 203-432-0123)
- Pharmacy: 8 AM–6 PM
- Mental Health & Counseling: On-call support for urgent concerns
- Student Health: Telehealth visits available
- Quest Lab & Diagnostic Imaging: Limited availability

💻 All other departments will operate remotely, with phone lines open and telehealth offered when appropriate.

Beginning Monday, January 26 at 8 am, eligible members will be able to reorder prescriptions, track refill status, and view prescription details all in one place!

To avoid interruptions, please pick up ready prescriptions before 6 pm on Friday, January 23.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month! Yale Health is dedicated to spreading knowledge, providing accessible screenings to students and members, and encouraging preventative measures against cervical cancer.

💙 Ways to protect yourself:
• HPV vaccination (recommended starting at ages 11–12; available as early as age 9)
• Pap tests beginning at age 21 to help detect cervical cancer early
• Self-swab vaginal HPV screening exams are now available at Yale Health Center

If you have questions about vaccination, testing, or what’s right for you, contact Yale Health or talk with your provider.

Yale Health was full of warmth and cheer during this year’s “Home for the Holidays” celebration. From winter friends surprising employees and patients around the building to family night, Candy Cane Lane, and the very popular waffle truck, the festive spirit was everywhere!

Creativity shone through gingerbread houses decorated by the departments, festive attire, and a lively breakfast bar, all leading up to our 2025 Yale CAREs Service Excellence Awards and a pizza party to close out the week.

Thank you to our incredible employees for making this season so memorable and for the care and dedication you bring every day. 💙
