Hello, Fellow YSPH Students :)

Please help fill up our turkeys

I am writing to let you know about our YSPH student group's current service project! The YSPH IEMH Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Modern Health group is coordinating a Thanksgiving Food Drive for Connecticut citizens in need. Please see the attached link for items that can be donated; all donated items will be transported to the Connecticut Food Bank (who will then distribute them to those in need).

You can find our turkey-shaped donation boxes in the lounge of 47 College (YSPH building) and the basement/1st floor of 60 College (Lecture building). Thank you in advance for your help!

Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Modern Healthcare (IEMH) fosters creativity and design at the heart of healthcare. The landscape of healthcare is constantly evolving and changing. The problems and demands we encounter are growing more complex. Every meeting, we will examine one new specific healthcare practice (rural hospital, free health clinics, dental private practice) or healthcare corporation (drug/prescription corp., medical hardware, biotech software). We will break apart and discuss the structure of each healthcare system to learn more about their intricate functions (from public health to medicine and business) and explore potential routes for innovation. This will be especially helpful for those who want to learn more about healthcare systems, design outside-the-box advancements, or even enter a healthcare sector as an entrepreneur. IEMH hopes to educate all interested students on important modern healthcare and stimulate creative analytical ideas.
