Here are some signs that you may have too much sugar in your diet…

-Weakened immune system, catching a cold/ the flu frequently.
-Weight gain, not fitting in certain clothing as usual.
-Craving sugar everyday, the more sugar you have the more you will crave.
-Hard time sleeping at night, waking up, feeling restless.
-Poor complexion, more breakouts than usual, lack of glow, looking older.
-More tired than usual, unable to feel completely energized
-Moody/ forgetful, not able to concentrate on specific tasks
-Feeling hungry all the time even after eating. Sugar prevents you to feel full or satisfied and always wants more.

Who doesn’t love sweet treats, you can bring these sugar alternatives into your everyday life to eliminate the amount of sugar intake especially when your indulging in coffee/ tea, anything with added sugars. But remember, everything in moderation!

Easy breakfast 🚨 🚨

Overnight chia seed pudding,
1 cup milk of choice
1 scoop of chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protien powder
Dash of maple syrup/ honey
Stir & leave in fridge overnight.
Top with- nut butter, fruit, jam

Smoothie:
1 scoop chocolate
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup frozen fruit
1 cup coffee
Blend and enjoy!

Eliminate food waste by using ripened fruits/veggies in a smoothie. This is easy, beneficial to the environment and a good health habit to save money.

Other ways to prevent food waste and save the environment:
-Store food correctly
-Save leftovers
-Be mindful the food you buy is useful
-Compost!

Just a couple of grounding asana stretches that keep me feeling energized and strong. With the cold weather approaching, staying as active as possible, even with just small movements can make a great impact on the mind& body. Here are some grounding affirmations that I enjoy, encouraging balance between the 5 specific chakras focused on through these movements.
🤍🤍

Root chakra🔴, “I am nourished and supported by Mother Earth.” Sacral chakra🟠, “I am feeling complete peace from within”
Solar plexus chakra🟡, “I am worthy of love, kindness and respect”
Third eye chakra🔵, “I am connected to my true path and purpose”
Crown chakra🟣, “I am protected and guided at all times.”

Asana/stretches
Head to knee forward bend 🟠🟡➡️ Bound angle pose 🔵🟣➡️Ending with a kneel &windshield wiper to strengthen the hips. 🟠🔴

First baked oat recipe was a success!

Recipe calls for:

1/2 GF steel cut oats
1 egg
1 banana
A pinch of salt
1/2 tbsp of honey
1/2 tbsp of maple syrup
1 tbsp of pumpkin purée
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 scoop of protein powder
1/4 cup chocolate chips

Mix and pour into stove safe ramekin, bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

All GF, top with butter or ghee and enjoy!

Swipe ➡️ for health benefits of dates

Super easy!!

Ingredients:
Dried dates
Nut Butter
Dark chocolate chips
Crushed almonds/ nuts

1. Place wax paper on a baking sheet and set aside.
2. Cut dates halfway through the middle. Add nut butter to the hollow center.
3. Mix chocolate chips and coconut oil, place in microwave for about 30 seconds or less.
3. Dip dates in chocolate, or use a fork to spread over the date. Gently place on baking sheet.
4. Sprinkle crushed almonds or nuts over them.
5. Place in the refrigerator to dry and cool.

Have these for dessert, or a nice snack. I had a couple for breakfast🤫

Ingredients:
1 Scoop🍫 Kachava powder
1 Cup water
1/2 Cup Almond milk
1 Cup frozen berries
Hint of maple syrup or honey 🍯
Optional: If having for a meal (breakfast or lunch) Add 2 Tbsps of nut butter to increase fat intake.

Blend and serve!
