Most kids shouldn't need long term. Here are some things to consider with your pediatrician.

Don’t let the first week of school be a sleep disaster. 😅
If your teen is sleeping hours later than their school wake-up time, start the reset 4–5 days before:
1. Wake at 8 a.m.
2. Get outside in the morning light
3. Explain why it matters

And if they’re resisting? Sometimes the pediatrician’s voice works better than yours.

Shuttling from house to house for holiday dinners, desserts, and everything in between? Here’s a reminder: You don’t have to do it all.

If it’s feeling like too much, opt out. If your kids need sleep (or you do), one parent can take them home while the rest of the family stays out. No guilt required. Sometimes, a quiet house beats a crowded living room — and that’s OK.

Pro tip: Setting boundaries around family events doesn’t make you “anti-family.” It makes you pro-sanity.
