Caring Hands residents had a hilarious time with the Cheese Ball Challenge. Whipped cream is arranged on the top of each person’s head with everyone sitting across from each other. Everyone has a cup full of cheese balls and then must attempt to get as many of their own cheese balls to stick to the top of their neighbors head.

Diane Schuh and Brenda St. Pierre pictured here with Jennifer Zupke, Administrator and Mary Dietz, RN , donated a beautiful Honor Quilt in loving memory of their mother, Audrey Schneider, a former resident of Caring Hands. An honor quilt will be used to honor a resident on their last journey from Caring Hands escorted by staff to honor them in death as we have in life.

What a week we had at Caring Hands! We started the week with our Putting Golf Tournament. Our own Jenny Eberts won with 13 holes in one! Who says 13 can't be lucky? Our little mascot Bentley seemed unimpressed. Bob Welsch entertained residents with his wonderful rousing music including my personal favorite, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!' We rounded out the week with a performance by Dave Ehlenbeck music and his very soothing sounds!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Turba. John was a kind man who always had a warm hello to everyone and cared deeply for his wife Joan each day in such a loving way. Our deepest condolences to his family and wife Joan.

The residents had a truly incredible Christmas party with music from 2/5’sPolka and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Special thank to the amazing gifts from friends, family, and the community. Extra thanks to the Charlie and Tootie Kraus family, St. Anna Parish, and the Essential Rock Community Church for their generous gifts for residents. Finally, thank you to Lynn Frisch, our Activity Coordinator, Tracey Dakin, and The Caring Hands Staff. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
