ever sit back + wonder why postpartum culture is so rich everywhere else… but here? 🫠

food for thought: we didn’t lose postpartum care by accident.
it was stripped, replaced, forgotten in the noise of “productivity”, patriarchy, and hyper-individualism. 😅

but mothers remember.
our bodies remember.
our lineages remember.

maybe the real work is not becoming like everywhere else…
but returning to what we once knew, too. ❤️‍🔥

for a while, i had to be both mom + dad.
and truthfully? it was easy for me. my baby was chill, we had our rhythm, + i felt strong doing it all myself.

but when i really got quiet with myself… i realized what i was seeking wasn’t a man.
it wasn’t “help” in that sense.
it was another. presence… heart… women.

i didn’t need to be balanced by a masculine man (because i had the masculine within me) — i needed to be held by the feminine.
the women who say “i’ve got you.”
who see you, tired + tender.

remembering *we were never meant to mother alone* is not about needing a man. its all about needing women. ❤️‍🔥
