✨ Ayurveda teaches that true balance begins with understanding your constitution — your dosha.
Your dosha reflects natural tendencies in body, mind, and energy. It shapes how you respond to food, stress, seasons, and even sleep.

🌿 By noticing these patterns, you can begin making diet and lifestyle choices that support your unique balance. For example, someone with more Vata may thrive on grounding, warm foods, while Pitta often feels better with cooling routines.

This quiz is just a starting point. In classical Ayurveda, a full assessment includes many more questions, along with pulse and tongue diagnosis. Some people may be dual-doshic or even tridoshic.

✨ Still, reflecting on your natural tendencies is a powerful way to start — and can guide you toward healthier daily rhythms.

For deeper guidance, and to ensure recommendations are tailored specifically to you, it’s always best to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.

👉 Swipe through to take the quiz, save this post to revisit later, and share your dosha in the comments!

✨ Stress, low energy, and restless sleep — sound familiar?
One herb has been getting a lot of buzz lately: Ashwagandha 🌿

In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha has long been known as a rasayana — a rejuvenative herb believed to support strength, vitality, and resilience. Its name literally means “smell of a horse,” reflecting the stamina and grounding it’s traditionally associated with.

Today, it’s everywhere — in teas, powders, capsules, even wellness blends at your local shop. But Ayurveda reminds us: what’s medicine for one person may not be right for another.

Why people use it:
💆‍♀️ May help calm stress & lower cortisol
😴 Can support deeper, more restful sleep
⚡ Can boost stamina & recovery after exertion
🧘‍♂️ Supports balance, focus & resilience

But here’s the catch:
👉 Ashwagandha is slightly warming (🔥), which can be stabilizing for some, but too heating for others.
👉 Not recommended in pregnancy, certain autoimmune conditions, or with uncontrolled thyroid/liver issues.
👉 As always, quality matters — look for products tested for purity.

🌿 Ayurveda’s wisdom:
“Everything can be right for someone, yet nothing is right for everyone.”

✨ If you’re curious about trying Ashwagandha, start gently, listen to your body, and seek guidance from a practitioner when possible.

☀️ As summer winds down, I’m soaking up all the sweet memories — travel, fun meals, laughter, and maybe a little overindulgence (because that’s what summer’s for 💛).

But with all that fire + heat of the season 🔥, our bodies can start showing signs of imbalance: breakouts, sluggish digestion, heart burn, irritability, or just feeling “heavy.”

🍂 That’s why fall is the perfect time for a gentle pitta cleanse — a reset to cool, balance, and prepare for the shift into autumn with more ease, clarity, and energy.

🌿 Curious what a seasonal cleanse looks like? Or how it could support you this fall? Share your thoughts below — I’d love to know what “reset” means for you right now. ✨

🌿 Why Do Migraines Keep Coming Back? An Ayurvedic Perspective + Self-Care Tips

If you suffer from migraines, you know the pain is more than “just a headache.”
In Ayurveda, recurring migraines are often a sign of an underlying Vata-Pitta imbalance, compounded by Ama (toxins) disrupting the body’s natural flow.

🔎 What’s really happening in the body?

Vata imbalance: Overstimulates the nervous system, creating sensitivity and instability.

Pitta imbalance: Increases heat, inflammation, and sharp, burning pain.

Ama buildup: Poor digestion leads to toxin accumulation, which blocks energy pathways and aggravates symptoms.

While painkillers can offer short-term relief, they don’t address the root cause. Over time, reliance on medication without rebalancing the body can weaken digestion further, build more Ama, and even lead to rebound headaches.

👉 What can you start doing to support yourself naturally?

Strengthen digestion (Agni):

Drink warm water with ginger or cumin.

Favor warm, cooked meals over cold/raw foods.

Daily Abhyanga (self-massage):

Use warm sesame or Brahmi oil to soothe the nervous system.

Establish a steady routine:

Consistent meals, sleep, and stress management reduce Vata-Pitta aggravation.

Mind-body practices:

Try gentle yoga, meditation, and pranayama like alternate nostril breathing.

Gentle detox:

Herbs like Triphala and Guduchi help clear toxins, but deeper detox like Panchakarma is often needed for chronic migraines.

And don’t forget — adjusting your lifestyle and diet to match your dosha is key to restoring long-term balance and preventing migraines.

If migraines are affecting your life and you’re looking for a tailored, root-cause Ayurvedic approach, DM me “MIGRAINE”. I’ll share how to start a comprehensive consultation designed just for you.

Let’s work with your body’s natural wisdom — not just mask symptoms. 🌿

In Ayurveda, food isn’t just nutrition — it’s energy. The hands that prepare it, the mood we’re in, the thoughts we carry — all of that gets infused into what we eat.

That’s why I try to cook when I’m calm, peaceful, and present — because the energy of love, softness, even joy, becomes part of the meal. ✨

We’re not just feeding the body — we’re feeding the mind and heart too.

Ever notice how the same dish at a restaurant can taste different on different days?
Ever wonder what mood the chef was in that day? The energy behind food preparation is real — we absorb it whether we’re aware of it or not.

So whether it’s a simple salad or a full meal, I remind myself:
Cook slowly. Be present. Eat without rushing. Be grateful.
Because that’s nourishment on every level — not just for the body, but for the soul.

Have you ever felt the difference when food is made with love?

Just got back from a few days in the South of France — a bit of the coast, a bit of the mountains. Sun, sea, slower days.

Sometimes the best reset isn’t a wellness routine — it’s stepping away. Letting nature set the pace. No schedule, no pressure — just light movement, good food, quiet moments.

Ayurveda isn’t always herbs or treatments. It’s also this: observing how you feel, adjusting your rhythm, rebalancing.

I’m back with more clarity, a little softness — and a few photos I wanted to share 🌞🌊

Where do you go when you need a reset?

🌞 Cooling Chamomile for Pitta Season 🌼

Summer is Pitta season — a time when the fiery energy in our bodies and the environment tends to rise. This can lead to irritability, inflammation, and digestive discomfort. Luckily, chamomile is here to help!

Chamomile’s natural cooling and anti-inflammatory properties make it perfect for soothing Pitta imbalances. It calms the mind, reduces internal heat, and supports gentle digestion. Drinking chamomile tea at a warm or room temperature is a simple, natural way to stay balanced and refreshed during the heat of summer.

Here’s a gentle, cooling recipe to try:

Chamomile Rose Tea
• 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers
• 1 cup boiling water
• A few fresh rose petals or 1 tsp rose water
• Optional: a slice of lemon or a touch of honey

Instructions:

Steep chamomile flowers in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.

Strain and add rose petals or rose water.

Let cool to warm or room temperature before sipping.

Add lemon or honey if desired.

Enjoy this calming drink slowly to soothe your body and mind without shocking your digestion.
