New Hope Community Learning Center We're developing student skills in math, reading, science, and technology in a fun environment

New Hope Community Learning Center is a division of The CARE Center. In 2010, The CARE Center and New Hope Elementary School partnered and were awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. Our goal is to create a safe, fun environment for the students where learning is disguised. Our program focuses on building student skills in math, reading, science and technology. We also have an anti-bullying program that teaches children how to resolve today's issues of bullying.

Do you want to build a snowman? ☃️❄️We are getting ready for Frozen Jr., and we’re searching for an Olaf stuffed animal to use in the production! If you have an Olaf we could borrow (or know where we might find one), please let us know. Thanks so much for helping us bring the magic to the stage! 💙

- Madison County Schools | Two-Hour Delay | Tuesday, January 27, 2026 -

After continued monitoring, road conditions across Madison County have improved. To support safe travel, Madison County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

This delay provides families, students, and staff additional time for travel and allows for continued daylight and warming before buses and drivers are on the roads.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back tomorrow.

- Madison County Schools CLOSED | Monday, January 26, 2026 -

Madison County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to deteriorating road conditions and the potential for black ice developing overnight and into Monday morning.

Forecasts indicate freezing temperatures overnight with lingering impacts to roadway safety. Madison County includes more than 1,400 miles of county roads, and in parts of our district, conditions are not expected to be safe for travel.

This decision is made out of an abundance of caution, with student and staff safety as our top priority.

We appreciate the partnership and understanding of our families as we balance careful monitoring with timely communication to support family planning.

We will continue to monitor forecasts and road conditions and will provide updates as needed through official Madison County Schools communication channels.

Families are encouraged to remain weather-aware and to prioritize safety during this time.

MCSS 💙

Big shoutout to our amazing 6th grade JROTC! 💙🇺🇸 This afternoon they jumped in to help carry in and deliver the Bags of Blessings (BoBs) to classrooms, making sure our students will have some extra goodies to take home over the holiday break. BoBs, run by The CARE Center right here in New Hope, AL, provides weekend food support to students and families who need it most—and our cadets showed up with helping hands and big hearts. We’re so proud of their teamwork, leadership, and service to our school community! 💪✨
