Movement 5: HANG for time. Choose Gymnastic rings or Bar. Hang from bar or rings, hang as long as you can with one or two hands. Switching hands is not necessary but encouraged if you can briefly hang on one arm to relax the other. 1 attempt.

Recommended Practice: Hanging from a bar with feet supported or unsupported will help. The goal is endurance so do sets of 30-60seconds with a 2 minute rest in between. If you are good hanging from two hands, try one hand to shake out the tension and switch as you get tired in the Strength Games.

Movement 4: DEADLIFT for 3 Rep Max Choose weight. Set up in between the hex bar and do 3 full deadlift repetitions, with 2 attempts allowed.

Recommended Practice: Deadlift with a hex bar if possible or with two dumbbells or kettlebells on each side of your legs to work the same muscles used. Aim to get sets of 5-8 with powerful ascent and controlled descents at a moderately heavy weight.

Movement 3: MED BALL UP & over for reps Choose 50, 90, or 150 pounds. Lift the medicine ball to the bar height and toss over to other side, moving to other side and repeat for max reps in 60 seconds. 1 attempt.

Recommended Practice: Do 2-3x 90 second working set of Medicine Ball cleans or dumbbell clean with a press if you don’t have a medball. Aim for a lighter to moderate intensity pace, and choose a weight lighter than your ideal competition weight. These movements will help prepare your posterior chain to lift up and press over the yoke obstacle.

Movement 2: YOKE CARRY for distance. Choose 100 pound safety bar, 200 pound, or 400 pound yoke. Lifting the yoke or safety bar on shoulders, carry the bar without touching ground for max distance. 1 attempt.

Recommended Practice: Even without a bar, doing any kind of shoulder or farmer’s carry will help condition you to carry a safety squat barbell or yoke bar. If you can carry dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine ball or barbell with some weight, aim to do lighter than competition weight for 90-120 seconds, then rest a few minutes and repeat.

Ok folks, even though it’s not officially here yet, it’s cold enough, and we’re announcing our WINTER CLASS SCHEDULE. Here we go!

As some of you know, our current approach is to adjust our class schedule on a seasonal basis. That’s the goal, at least. Either way, until at least March, this is how we’re gonna be operating in the studio.

If can’t already tell, this is our most complete schedule ever, AND it’s the most intentionally structured. There are not only so many great classes to choose from, there is also no wrong way to go about organizing your week. We’ve deliberately set this up for your guaranteed success; whether you’re an early bird, a midday trooper, or a sundown adventurer, we’ve got you covered.

And that’s not even the best part! This list does not include…

Well, this is it. ONE MONTH FROM TODAY. is officially opening!!!

We’ve been operational since July 1st, but we’ve given ourselves some much needed time to settle into the new space, and to finish some of the final details. Bottom line, though, Saturday, October 4th, is THE BIG DAY.

It’s going to be an all day celebration, filled with a variety of offerings, from bodywork with a handful local practitioners, to a strength demonstration from and a KORU 101 digestion presentation from

Of course, as well, the sauna and coldplunges will be going all day!
