Nurse practitioners are medical professionals who practice a mix of nursing and medicine in collaboration with a doctor. Our Nurse Practitioners are a group of highly trained medical professionals performing outstanding medical services to our communities. We honor them today and everyday. On this Veterans Day we celebrate our Director of Operations, Troy Lemaire. In 1992 a 20 year old Troy Lemaire enlisted in the United States Air Force. Troy describes that monumental decision as a young adult one of the best decisions he has made. The lessons he learned serving in our nation's Air Force were invaluable and has been very beneficial to him throughout his career. To Troy and the men and women throughout our nation who have made that commitment to serving we extend our gratitude to you. Thank you for your service!

Recently our nursing staff and medical assistant staff celebrated our outstanding Director of Nursing, Ms. Tanjar Johnson for National Boss' Day! As you can tell from the many gifts bestowed upon Tanjar she is well loved by her team. Tanjar thank you for your dedication and commitment to our health care mission and for being an outstanding boss to our nursing staff and medical assistants.

The month of October is also National Dental Hygiene month, which also serves as the perfect opportunity to welcome our clinics’ first Dental Hygienist to our family.

Ashley Spears-Hill is a Dental Hygienist who was born and raised in Ohio and recently made the move to Louisiana. Ashley has devoted her career to public health dentistry and is passionate about helping and educating her patients on the importance of oral health while creating a compassionate and positive dental experience.

Ashley will be providing hygiene services to our clinics in New Iberia, St. Martinville, Abbeville, and Lafayette. Welcome to the ICCHC family Ashley!
