Posting on Nikki’s behalf as per her request….

It is with a heavy heart that we have to let you all know Dwight passed early this morning. Please respect the family and limit calls and text for the next day or so as this is a challenging time for them. They are forced to deal with a new reality of a life without an amazing soul. Please continue to pray for them to find peace and comfort during this transition.

In preparation for the funeral Nikki asked that you please post any pictures in the comments of this post that you may have with or of Dwight for her to use in his tribute. As we all grieve this huge loss, it’s imperative that we also celebrate the memories we have with him and cherish those as a guide to get through this together. On behalf of both Dwight and Nikki’s family THANK YOU to each and everyone of you that were on this journey with us, on this Fight for Dwight.

Once arrangements have been made they will posted. Nikki would like to thank everyone for the support you guys have consistently given selflessly. It has not gone unnoticed. 💔💔🙏🏼

Hey guys! We have adjusted the amount of adults to be considered for the meal train right now. Anyone planning an upcoming delivery, you can adjust accordingly. Also, I have updated the calendar to every other day for now. This is a new thing to me and I am learning as I go so bare with me 😬. Thank you for all of the shares and donations! We are asking for help in bringing a little relief to Dwight, Nikki and their family as they are continuing this fight! We have created this meal train and humbly ask that you please consider signing up for a date to take the stress of planning meals off of them for a while.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to come out and show love and support for Dwight and I in what seems to be the most challenging part of our lives. It really takes a tribe to get through our days, lately. Yesterday was nothing shy of amazing… from the cooks outdoing themselves on the gumbo, the ladies and gentlemen that served, the raffles, the auction, the donations, the pool players, the spectators, all the volunteers, and especially those behind the scenes. We are blessed beyond anything we could have imagined. Seeing all that SHOWED UP for us was a bit overwhelming and allowed Dwight and I to sit back and take our support into perspective!! Words can’t begin to describe how grateful we are!! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!!

Wow! Tonight was a good night. For a Friday tournament we did pretty well! We had 34 people sign up for the blind draw doubles tournament (17 teams) and a great turnout of spectators just showing support. Thanks to everyone who was there tonight to help get this benefit started. Cooking team will be out early tomorrow prepping for lunch, if you would like to help prior to benefit tomorrow be at Emeralds for 9 am. We look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. The big day has finally arrived!!!!
