Really doing my best to not be negative—-but—-I really do not understand why comparisons are made between our clinic, and some that have come on the scene in recent years.

We are focused on way different things; we have more experience; we have way better equipment; we went to a way higher ranked school; and we are way less expensive.

And again, our clinic is focused on way different things.

We are way different. No need for comparisons.

We have transitioned away from super acute, crisis quick care to more of a Wellness and Healthy Aging Practice.

We still do our best to help alleviate symptoms expeditiously, and with over 60 years of combined experience—-our expertise in neuromusculoskeltal conditions is unsurpassed in our field.

But———since 1895——Chiropractic has never been a “quick fix.” And neither is our clinic.

We don’t deal with insurance much, but as more of a general Chiropractor, I am in network with BCBS.
Dr Cari focuses on advanced types of treatment that are not typically covered by any insurance.

We are still waaaaaaaaaay more affordable than many places.
It really just depends on what matters to you.

So many who claim “anti-aging” secrets.

I don’t like the term “anti-aging”, as it denotes something negative. Aging is natural. Healthy Aging is a better term, in my opinion.

So, when seeking Doctors who extoll the benefits of Wellness and Aging Gracefully, Healthy——-wouldn’t it just make sense to choose Doctors who practice what they preach——instead of those who just sell promises——when they are not aging in a healthy way, themselves…….

Ya know, my Dad would tell me the story of my PaPa’s grocery store. That was just prior to him starting Darby Real Estate in 1956.

When times were tough, he fed this town. Literally, he would provide food—-based on IOUs. My Grandma would cook spaghetti dinners for everyone on the block.

My Dad would go on to tell me that when some of the chain type of stores started showing up, that some people left my PaPa to go shopping there. Never paying on those IOUs.
There are some people like that. Always thinking the grass is greener somewhere else, and disrespecting those who really just want to help.
Those are the “fad” followers.
But the interesting thing is—-the chain places didn’t stay around. None of them are still here today. They made their money, and left.

But my PaPa didn’t waver. He got into real estate, and helped develop, help plan out New Iberia.
He provided people with homes, not monstrosities of houses, but family homes. He helped people who were discriminated against, merely due to the color of their skin, to achieve the American Dream of family home ownership.

He was connected. Committed. He knew what was right, and never compromised on that.

I thought about this today, while thinking about my own Profession. Yall know that I don’t care for some things that I see. Primarily, that is because I can tell that there is no real commitment, no integrity—-like in the old days.
I can tell because I see the misrepresentations, the lack of commitment to being here for the people.

I can tell—-because they take the word Chiropractic out of Chiropractic.

I am just different. I have taken punches to the gut in business—-for the people—that would have knocked others out. I have stayed committed to the people who need me.
Just like my PaPa did.

And I proudly display the Darby family name on my sign. It means something here. Something very, very good. Something honest, and sincere.

So does the word—Chiropractic.

There is nothing “fad-like” about either.
If you want that, there are plenty to choose from, about 20 miles NNW. 😁😁

Sometimes, you just want to see your Doctor. The Doctor you chose. There were reasons why you chose a specific Doctor.
And if you are a person who is truly invested in striving for better health—-most of the time, that choice has very little to do with who is on your insurance “list.”

And sometimes, you just really need to see your Doctor—-not a nurse practitioner, not a physician assistant, not a substitute, and not a “junior associate.”

It really matters.

So—-at Darby Chiropractic—-you will always see Dr Darby. Not a substitute.

Because—-it really matters.

One thing that I am truly grateful for is——-
We never got too big.

You see, so many clinics, so many businesses——get too big. They forget the reason why they got started, in the first place. They take people for granted. Their only goal is more and more money.

Now, we all need to make a living. But there is a way to be.

So, I am glad that we never got so big—that we started to take things for granted.

If you want to know the difference, you really just have to know what we are about.

And the interesting thing about those “big” places——they rarely stay around.
