🚨 Measles is deadly—and it's back. Texas has reported its first measles-related death in a child as the outbreak continues to grow, surpassing 120 cases. This tragic loss is a reminder that measles isn’t just a rash—it’s a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease that spreads easily among the unvaccinated.

🛑 How can you protect yourself and your loved ones?
✅ Get vaccinated! The MMR vaccine is safe, effective, and provides lifelong protection against measles.
✅ Check your records. Make sure kids, teens, and adults are up to date on their shots—especially before school, travel, or large gatherings.
✅ Act quickly. If you or your child have symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and rash, call your doctor before heading to a clinic to avoid spreading the virus.

Declining vaccination rates are bringing it back. Don't wait until it's too late—vaccination saves lives. ❤️

Make sure you get enough in the winter. Deficiency can cause SAD (seasonal affective disorder) depression. Vitamin D: BOOSTS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM & ASSISTS IN NEUROTRANSMITTER SYNTHESIS.

Many of us are completely deficient.

Vitamin D is considered the “sunshine vitamin” because we produce it from exposure to sunlight. Or body does not make it and we only derive 20% from food. Many of us are very deficient in D. We spend less time outdoors and sunblock, prevents absorption.

Lack of vitamin D = Illness from viruses, depression, gastrointestinal inflammation, darker skin and elevated cortisol levels (cortisol is a stress hormone in the body) can cause vitamin D deficiency.

It promotes mental well-being, balances the immune system, and reduces inflammation. Low vitamin D levels in your blood are directly connected to a higher incidence of autism, cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease, arthritis, and just about every other degenerative disease.

Regular MDs are much too conservative in dosing Vitamin D supplementation. Testing is crucial to make sure you are getting enough. Just know my 7 year old needs 5,000 iu daily to maintain levels. TAKING PROBIOTICS with vitamin D helps it to absorb.
