🌟One Toy 3 Ways🌟

Language can be targeted anywhere with your kids toys! Begin by asking our child to label or identify animals “should we do a giraffe or dog first” to build identifying and labeling skills while building confidence in playing! Continue the process to focus on categorizing items and answering questions as you play! 🗣️🌟🧩

🌟Small Words. BIG meaning! 🌟

Possessive pronouns (like his, hers, theirs) can be surprisingly tricky for kids because they’re small words carrying big grammar rules. Unlike nouns, they change depending on who owns something and how the sentence is structured. A child has to understand perspective (Who does it belong to?), remember the correct pronoun form, and use it in the right spot in the sentence — all while still learning basic vocabulary and sentence building.

Examples of a play-based, purposeful, and packed with language therapy session!🚙 🐴⭐️

We paired little animal figures with a story to boost attention to task and build those early comprehension skills. While we read, we worked on answering WH-questions (who, what, where) and sequencing the story by putting the animals in order of events.

Then we wrapped it up with a fun craft to target following directions (fold, glue, place, press) — sneaking in language, listening, and fine motor practice all at once. 💕

Obstacle courses in speech therapy = language + learning + regulation 💬🧠
Today we worked on multi-step directions (first, then, last), color concepts, and built-in movement for sensory regulation — all through play. When their body is regulated, their brain is ready to communicate!

Pop the Pig but make it articulation therapy 🐷🍔 Match the burgers to target sounds, say the word, then feed the pig once all the words are practiced. Motivation = HIGH and drill doesn’t feel like drill ⭐️
