October is Physical Therapy Month!

So what exactly does a physical therapist do?
We evaluate and assess each individual patient by going over a health history, use tests and measures to assist with diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. We assess joint mobility, muscle strength, length, and function, do neurological assessments, and postural assessments to name a few things. A physical therapist then comes up with a treatment plan specific to each individual to help them attain their goals, recover from injury, return to function, prevent surgery when possible, and teach self management strategies.

The goal is to always restore function, reduce pain, and promote a healthy lifestyle!

Welcome to Renew Physical Therapy!!

Renew is a privately owned, small, cash based, direct access, out patient PT practice based in Southern New Hampshire.

What does direct access PT mean? It means that as a patient, you do not need a physician referral to receive access to a PT evaluation and treatment.

Why cash based and not insurance based? Cash based allows for direct access. When billing for treatment through most insurance companies they will require a physician referral for treatment to begin, which inevitably slows down the time for a patient to be seen and treated. Cash based also decreases restrictions placed on PTs by insurance companies that can inhibit a patient reaching their maximum potential and goals.

At Renew I believe in not only treating the affected area, but treating the individual as a whole through manual therapy, exercise, postural correction, correct body mechanics, and patient education.
