🚨NEW GROUP ALERT🚨

Regulation Lab is an engaging 11-week group designed for kids ages 8–12 to build strong coping, emotion regulation, and problem-solving skills in a fun, hands-on way. Each week, kids will learn practical strategies to understand their feelings, calm their bodies, and make thoughtful choices when challenges come up.

Throughout the group, participants will create their own physical and mental coping skills toolbox, adding a new tool each week—such as breathing techniques, positive self-talk, grounding, problem-solving strategies, and ways to ask for help. By the end of Regulation Lab, kids leave with increased confidence, self-control, and a personalized set of tools they can use at home, school, and beyond.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet Theresa Workman! 🌟
We are proud to highlight Theresa Workman, LCSW, and one of our dedicated Sand Tray Therapists!

With 9 and a half years at The Healing Center Therapy, Theresa is one of our most experienced team members. Her favorite part of the job is the trust her clients place in her to share their stories and celebrate the good things happening in their lives.

For Theresa, healing means focusing on growth to improve well-being. She felt immense pride and fulfillment when a client who had completed therapy sent an unexpected update filled with positive life successes, reinforcing the powerful connection of therapy.

When people walk through our doors, Theresa hopes they feel relief—that they have found a safe space to come and talk.

✨The Healing Center at The Ranch had an incredible time at the Adulting Conference hosted by the iCanDreamCenter at Moraine Valley Community College!

We’re so grateful to our amazing therapists, Nicole Tucker, LSW and Janette Johnson, LSW, for sharing their expertise on mental health and sleep — such an important topic for young adults navigating independence and wellness. 💙

🐾 Two special guests joined the fun — Buoy, our certified therapy dog, and Mr. Beef, our therapy dog in training — who brought smiles and calm to everyone they met!
