🌿 Celebrate National Wellness Month with Wellness Bingo! 🌿

August is National Wellness Month, and what better way to celebrate than with a little self-care challenge?

We created a Wellness Bingo Card full of simple, feel-good ideas to help you focus on your mental, emotional, and physical health. You can pick up a copy in any of our offices or print the one shared below!

✨ Some of the bingo squares include:
• Go for a nature walk 🌳
• Do something creative 🎨
• Perform a random act of kindness 💛
• Walk barefoot in the grass 🌿
• Write down 3 things you love about yourself 📝

Each small action helps build a healthier, more mindful you — and it’s more fun when you do it with friends or coworkers! Challenge yourself to complete a row, or go for a full card blackout!

💚 Let’s take care of ourselves this month — because wellness isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

🌟 What little things brighten your world? 🌟

Life can feel heavy at times, and the world may seem overwhelming — but even on the darkest days, small moments of light can make a big difference. Whether it’s a warm cup of coffee, a good laugh with a friend, a kind word from a stranger, or the feeling of sunshine on your face — these simple joys matter.

✨ Mental Health Tip: Take time to notice and appreciate the small things. Practicing daily gratitude — even just writing down one good thing each day — has been shown to improve mood, increase resilience, and reduce stress.

What are the little things that bring light to your life? Share below and inspire someone else’s day. 💛👇

🌿 Mental Health Tip: Try Barefoot Grounding 🌿
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected? A simple, natural technique called barefoot grounding can help you feel calmer and more present.

What is it?
Barefoot grounding—also known as earthing—involves standing or walking barefoot on natural surfaces like grass, dirt, or sand. The idea is to reconnect your body with the earth, which can have calming effects on your nervous system.

How to try it:

1. Step outside where there’s natural ground (grass, soil, or sand).

2. Remove your shoes and socks.

3. Stand still or walk slowly for 5–10 minutes.

4. Focus on the sensations—cool grass, warm sun, breeze on your skin.

5. Take slow, deep breaths. Let go of racing thoughts.

Optional: Say to yourself, “I am grounded. I am safe. I am here.”

Why it works:
🧠 Helps regulate emotions
đź’“ Slows heart rate
🌤 Boosts mood
🌱 Encourages mindfulness and presence

Sometimes healing starts by just standing still.

🌞 Summer Mental Health Tip for Parents 🧠
Summer doesn’t have to be packed with activities to be meaningful.
Sometimes the best memories are made in the slow moments — popsicles on the porch, evening walks, or a quiet movie night.

Give yourself permission to slow down.
It’s okay if your summer isn’t picture-perfect — what matters most is connection, not perfection. 💛

Taking care of your mental health helps your whole family thrive.

🧡 From the Hearts of Kids 🧡
One of our favorite things in the kids’ play therapy room is a simple whiteboard—but what happens on it is nothing short of magical.

After their sessions, many of our young clients leave behind messages for others to find. đź’¬ These notes are full of encouragement, kindness, and reminders that you are awesome, you matter, and you are loved. Every day, we walk in and see new words written with big hearts and even bigger hope.

It’s a beautiful way kids support one another—even without knowing who will read their message next. 🧡✨

These little notes remind us how powerful kindness can be—and how much we can learn from our youngest clients.

From the gentle lighting to the cozy spaces, every part of our office is designed to offer calm, comfort, and care. Whether you’re here for your first session or returning for continued support, we want you to feel welcomed, supported, and truly seen. 💛
