🦃 Thanksgiving Reflections 🍂

Holidays can bring moments of connection, gratitude, and joy—but they can also bring stress, grief, or complicated feelings. Both can be true.

This Thanksgiving, you might try:
✨ Noticing small moments of gratitude without pressuring yourself to “feel thankful” all the time.
✨ Setting gentle boundaries if gatherings feel overwhelming.
✨ Offering compassion to yourself if the day feels different than you hoped.

Gratitude doesn’t have to be big—it can be as simple as a quiet breath, a warm meal, or a safe space to rest.

Whatever this holiday looks like for you, may you find a moment of peace and care for yourself. 🤍

🕯️ Transgender Day of Remembrance • November 20th

Today, we honor and remember the transgender individuals whose lives were lost due to anti-transgender violence.

We hold space for grief, for courage, and for the resilience of the trans community.

Mental health care means affirming safety, dignity, and humanity for everyone.

To all our transgender clients, colleagues, friends, and community members — you matter. You are seen. You are valued. 💛

Let’s continue to foster compassion, advocate for safety, and create spaces where everyone can thrive.

You can thrive. 🌱 We can help.

🌎💛 World Kindness Day 💛🌎

Kindness isn’t just something we offer others — it’s also something we can practice toward ourselves.

Small acts of compassion can make a big impact on mental wellness. A kind word, a gentle boundary, or even giving yourself permission to rest can shift your day — and your mind — for the better.

Let’s make kindness a daily practice — for others and ourselves. ✨

🇺🇸 Veterans Day: Honoring Service, Recognizing Struggles 🇺🇸

Today we honor those who have served—and we also shine a light on the challenges many veterans face after their service.

💭 Did you know?

▪️Many veterans experience PTSD, depression, or anxiety following their service.

▪️Transitions to civilian life can bring feelings of isolation or loss of identity.

▪️Stigma often keeps veterans from seeking the support they deserve.

On this Veterans Day, gratitude is essential—but awareness and action are equally important. Supporting veterans means:
✨ Encouraging open conversations about mental health.
✨ Offering resources and community connections.
✨ Reminding veterans they don’t have to carry the weight alone.

To every veteran: Your service matters, and your well-being matters too. 🤍

🧠 Did you know?

About 1 in 4 people will experience a mental or neurological disorder during their lifetime.

That means nearly everyone knows someone affected — a friend, family member, or colleague.
Let’s keep talking about mental health, supporting one another, and breaking the stigma together. 💬

🌿 Signs It Might Be Time to Try Therapy 🌿

Therapy isn’t only for crisis—it can be a supportive space whenever life feels heavy. Here are a few signs that reaching out might help:

✨ You feel stuck in the same patterns, even when you want things to change.
✨ Stress, worry, or low mood are making it hard to get through daily life.
✨ Your sleep, appetite, or energy levels have noticeably shifted.
✨ You’re withdrawing from people or activities you usually enjoy.
✨ You’ve been through a big transition or loss and are finding it hard to cope.
✨ You want a safe place to process your feelings without judgment.

Seeking therapy doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with you—it means you’re choosing support. You don’t have to navigate everything on your own. 💛

If some of these sound like you, and you are interested in getting started, please reach out to Counseling Associates. You can access us through our website ca-mh.org or call at (603)865-1321

Struggling with your mental health doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with you—it means you’re carrying something heavy. Everyone goes through hard seasons, and it’s okay if things feel difficult right now.

You don’t need to “fix it” right away. It’s enough to notice what you’re feeling, to acknowledge that it’s real, and to give yourself permission to simply be where you are.

✨ It’s normal to have days when getting through feels like the biggest accomplishment.
✨ It’s normal to need rest, care, or support.
✨ It’s normal to not feel okay all the time.

You are not alone in this. Needing support is human. Taking things one step at a time is enough.

When you need it reach out for help. You can Thrive. We can help.

Progress isn’t always linear.

You may experience moments of growth that feel amazing, and other times when it feels like you’ve taken a step back or aren’t seeing the changes you hoped for. That’s completely normal!

What matters most is your commitment to keep showing up for yourself. Over time, with effort and patience, the overall trend is upward. The journey might not look exactly how you imagined, and it may not follow your preferred timeline — but it is still progress.

Keep going. You are worth it. 💙
