We are an agency that believes in second chances and the ability of people to find recovery. The path to recovery is not one-directional.

Our empathetic, compassionate staff are dedicated to supporting people in their recovery. We believe that an individual must be motivated to help him/herself, but we also know that individuals need a close-knit system of human relationships to support them in this difficult process. Each of our programs incorporates this philosophy into the clients treatment plan. For this reason, SCADD offers a v

ariety of levels of care to support recovery continuity based on the appropriate intensity of intervention needed. No matter where you’re from or what your story is, we will work to help you find the best fit for your needs.

Yesterday’s Annual SCADD/Shaun Cashman Memorial Golf Tournament was a huge success and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our community!

A heartfelt thank you to all the golfers who played, cheered, and showed up to support our mission. Your presence and generosity help us continue our vital work at SCADD — changing lives every day.

We were honored to welcome Congressman Joe Courtney to SCADD’s Lebanon Pines, our flagship 98-bed, 56-acre residential treatment campus.

With the support of Congressionally Directed Spending secured through Congressman Courtney’s office, SCADD will move forward with several long-overdue infrastructure projects, including replacing septic systems, repairing multiple roofs, and constructing a new kitchen cold storage facility at the Gene Wright Culinary Arts Center.

SCADD CEO Stacey Lawton was joined by Congressman Courtney, State Representative Mark DeCaprio (48th District), Architect Marilyn Ackerman of Green Valley Design, and members of SCADD’s leadership team to mark the groundbreaking of the new facility. We are also grateful to be working alongside Lordes Construction and Coit Excavating, who will help bring this critical project to life, all while maintaining operations in an active, client-centered program.

We are deeply thankful for the Congressman’s continued partnership and advocacy for recovery services in Eastern Connecticut.

This week, our team enjoyed a sweet summer tradition — a visit from the Jumping Cow Ice Cream! 🍦☀️

For the past three summers, the Jumping Cow team brings their delicious treats to SCADD locations, and it’s always a hit!

It’s harvest time! SCADD is delighted to “pay it full circle” with a donation from our expansive farm gardens at our flagship Lebanon Pines property to the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Gemma Moran Food Bank

SCADD received the seeds for our gardens from Gemma Moran Food Bank last fall and cultivated them through the winter for early spring crop planting.

Our clients give time, effort, and love to the seedlings all through the cold months of winter in our greenhouse, and to be able to share our harvest for the benefit of other patrons of the Gemma Moran Food Bank brings us all great joy!
