Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc.

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. We are an agency that believes in second chances and the ability of people to find recovery. The path to recovery is not one-directional.

Our empathetic, compassionate staff are dedicated to supporting people in their recovery. We believe that an individual must be motivated to help him/herself, but we also know that individuals need a close-knit system of human relationships to support them in this difficult process. Each of our programs incorporates this philosophy into the clients treatment plan. For this reason, SCADD offers a variety of levels of care to support recovery continuity based on the appropriate intensity of intervention needed. No matter where you’re from or what your story is, we will work to help you find the best fit for your needs.

🥬 Winter Greens Are Growing at Lebanon Pines 🥬

Even in the heart of winter, growth continues at Lebanon Pines. We’re proud to share our first lettuce harvest of the season, a hands-on achievement that highlights consistency, patience, and care. Values that mirror the recovery journey.

This harvest began with seeds generously donated by the Gemma E. Moran/United Way Labor Food Center, whose partnership helps expand access to fresh food while supporting meaningful, skill-building opportunities for our clients. Together, we’re cultivating healthy routines, self-sufficiency, and a deeper connection to wellness.

We’re grateful for partnerships that help turn small beginnings into lasting impact, one winter harvest at a time. 🌱

Rooted in CBT, ACT, existential therapy, and informed by the latest insights from Joel Vos, the evening offered practical tools and a renewed perspective for those supporting the recovery journey.

Last week, our SCADD team spent Thanksgiving Eve at the New London Community Meal Center, and their kindness made all the difference. 💙

They served meals, shared smiles, and connected with neighbors who welcomed them with warmth and gratitude. 🍽️

What touched us most wasn’t just the chance to give but the blessings we received in return. The gratitude, the stories, and the genuine human connection made the evening unforgettable.

Moments like these remind us that community thrives when we show up for one another. Thank you to our incredible staff for leading with heart and compassion.
