On 3/13/2026 New Manchester and Oakland District was toned for a brush fire on Wylie Ridge Road. Squad 51 and Mule 5 responded within 3 minutes with 5 personnel. Upon arrival we found a fast moving brush fire being driven by strong winds across the pipeline rideaway. Oakland District arrived on scene shortly after. Mule 5 and a booster line from S-51 was deployed and made an aggressive attack and stopped the spreading fire. New Cumberland was also requested for man power. Oakland personnel assisted with indian cans and filling S51 and Mule 5 from their engine. There was also a power line down along with a pole and transformer. S-51 and Mule 5 operated for approximately 1 hour hitting hot spots and Mon Power was contacted. Oakland and New Cumberland cleared prior due to multiple other fires throughout the county.

Upon clearing we was requested to Race Track Road to assist Newell with a large brush fire. Mule 5 and our personnel operated for 4 hours in steep terrain stopping the advancing fire and then hitting hot spots.

To avoid delays, patrons are encouraged to place orders in advance by contacting us at 304-564-4497. Once again, we thank you for your patronage and appreciate your continued support. Hope to see y'all again on Friday!

On February 21st, at 12:36, New Manchester VFD responded to a report of multiple individuals submerged in ice at Tomlinson Run State Park. E50 responded within three minutes, followed shortly by Unit S51. Assistance was requested from New Cumberland for personnel support and Chester Volunteer Fire Department for a rescue boat. Upon arrival, bystanders had deployed a boat onto the ice, where two victims were recovered from the water. Both individuals were pulled aboard, and a rope was utilized to pull them to safety. Subsequently, units from Chester and New Cumberland were canceled, although several personnel from New Cumberland responded to assist. HCEMS personnel arrived and provided medical aid, with one patient treated in an ambulance and the other in Unit E50. Both patients had their wet clothing removed and were provided warming treatment, but both refused further medical transport.
Also assisting on scene WVDNR, TRSP Ranger, and HCSD.

WOW what a day‼️
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community for the tremendous support shown at our fish fry today, resulting in an early sell-out of fish despite additional orders for shrimp and chicken. We look forward to next week and will be better prepared for the increased volume of fish orders.

A structure fire with possible entrapment was reported at approximately 0655 hours this morning, prompting a multi-unit response from Newell (Station 7), New Manchester (Station 5), Lawrenceville (Station 4), New Cumberland (Station 9), and Chester (Station 6). An update en route confirmed all occupants had exited the structure. Crews from E74, T75, E72, E50, and E96 arrived on scene to find a fully involved structure, deploying multiple 1 3/4 inch and one 2 1/2 inch hose lines for defensive operations. T45 and R65 provided personnel and air supply. The response effort lasted for nearly five hours before units returned to service.
