I received a massage while I was on my most recent get away. And man, was it needed. I noticed I was burning out, I was physically and emotionally exhausted. And as a care giver, I can’t pour from an empty cup. I do my best to show up to each session refreshed and to prioritize my clients’ well being, to put YOU first. Self care is so vital, especially now a days with the extra stress of the unknown.
I’ll be honest, my self care routine falls to the way side most days because I easily get caught up in my to-do list and focus on everyone and everything else but myself. But I am aware of the importance that self care brings to my self, my soul, and my work. So with that I am welcoming more self care into my routine this year.
Receiving massage is just one method of self care. Self care can be taking vitamins, drinking an extra glass of water, receiving a hug, make a gratitude list, moving your body, or my most favorite, planning a vacation!
