Nest Origin was featured in NOLA.com yesterday, and we couldn't be more proud of the team behind it.

The program brings prenatal care directly into our patients' homes, delivered by certified nurse midwives for Medicaid patients in the New Orleans area. The problem it's solving is real: in Louisiana, 1 in 4 women don't receive care in the first trimester. Getting to 14 appointments over the course of a pregnancy is harder than it sounds when you're juggling work, kids, and transportation.

Yanti Turang, who designed Nest Origin, said it best: "Mom often doesn't put herself first. And how the system is structured, it's really hard to get to all of those visits."

Today is National Rural Health Day. Rural families face some of the toughest health barriers in the country. Fewer clinics. Longer travel times. Not enough providers. Hospitals closing. Higher rates of chronic disease and preventable illness.

In Mohave County Arizona, these challenges are part of daily life. Many families have gone years without regular access to primary care.

Nest Health is working to change that in partnership with Health Choice by bringing care into the home. Our Mohave team now reaches almost 9000 people across the county. That means
• Families who could not get to a clinic now receive care where they live
• No long drives or lost work hours
• One visit supports the whole household
• Families get connected to medical, behavioral, and social support in one place
