Due to upcoming parades, our Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting will be moved to this Wednesday, February 19th, at 6:00 PM.
Our special speaker is Dr. Elizabeth Engler-Chiurazzi from the Tulane Brain Institute will be presenting her talk on "Infection and Dementia Risk."

🌟 Holiday Magic at The Roosevelt Hotel 🌟

In true New Orleans and The Laurel tradition, our residents embraced the holiday spirit with a visit to the iconic Roosevelt Hotel. The breathtaking lobby, adorned with sparkling lights and white flocked Christmas trees, set the perfect scene for festive cheer. ✨

We topped off the outing with a delicious cup of hot chocolate at Teddy’s Café, right beside their incredible life-sized gingerbread house!

Moments like these remind us why the holidays are so magical. ❤️

We had a boot-stompin’ good time at our Laurel Hoedown in the courtyard, where the Academy of the Sacred Heart, New Orleans faculty joined us for some lively line dancing! With cowboy hats on and perfect weather, it was a wonderful afternoon spent outdoors. Our residents, Patricia Adams and Suzanne Wiseman, both proud alums of the Academy, along with our Family Educator Wendy Duckworth, posed for a special group photo with the faculty. What a joyful gathering of past and present! 🤠

🎃👻 It was treat or be tricked at The Laurel as Girl Scout Troop 40398 from Holy Name of Jesus School made their way through our halls! Our residents were ready, handing out plenty of Halloween candy and sharing smiles with these little ghouls and goblins. A spooktacular time was had by all, reminding us that the joy of Halloween spans all generations.
