Meet our Chief on Call, Dr. Cori Zalomek! ✨
She’s the perfect example of a balanced leader: incredibly driven and dedicated to the program, while remaining wonderfully kind, hilarious, and approachable. She is an incredibly helpful and wonderful person we are so lucky to look up to. Here are a few more fun facts about Cori:
1. Hometown: Irvine, CA☀️
2. Plans After Chief Year: Gastroenterology Fellowship 🩺💩
3. What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself during residency? How many of the life skills I gained from playing organized sports translate directly into being a good resident. Oh, and how well I can function with so little sleep. 😴
4. What’s a hobby you’ve picked up (or re-discovered) during residency? Shooting hoops and playing pickup basketball 🏀
