Medical treatments for depression are usually centered around antidepressants that rely on the systems in your body to deliver relief. Magventure TMS treatments go right to the source of depression—your brain.

There are specific areas in your brain that control mood. When synapses in those mood-regulating areas are under-active, connections are broken and depression can result. Magventure revitalizes those dormant synapses, “waking up” the brain to function as it was meant to.

If you are suffering with severe depression, OCD, or anxiety, TMS Therapy may be the answer you’re looking for! Start your journey towards relief by scheduling a TMS consultation at 504-270-1050 or visit https://www.tmscenterofneworleans.com/am-i-a-candidate/ to send us a message directly.

Who We Are

The TMS Center of New Orleans is a pioneer in advanced treatments for the people of Louisiana using TMS Therapy for the treatment of Depression. Read below to learn more about the advantages of TMS Therapy and what to expect from your initial consultation.

Our advanced TMS therapy equipment can provide treatments in half the time or less as traditional machines, and we use the same TMS device used at the top TMS research facilities in the world. We have the only TMS machine (MagVenture) that is FDA cleared for "Express TMS", an ultra-rapid three minute, non-pharmacological treatment for depression.

TMS Center of New Orleans' Dr. Degan Dansereau, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and has completed advanced training in TMS including a visiting Fellowship at Duke University that was lead by scientific leaders in TMS and brain stimulation. Dr. Dansereau has also completed an intensive TMS course at the Medical University of South Carolina that was led by Mark George, M.D., who is considered the "Father" of TMS in psychiatry.

We are the only TMS provider in Louisiana that accepts Medicare, and we have staff very skilled at maximizing our patients' insurance coverage. The main barriers to patients receiving TMS have historically been time and affordability. We leverage our technology and expertise to overcome those barriers.
