Our advanced TMS therapy equipment can provide treatments in half the time or less as traditional machines, and we use the same TMS device used at the top TMS research facilities in the world. We have the only TMS machine (MagVenture) that is FDA cleared for "Express TMS", an ultra-rapid three minute, non-pharmacological treatment for depression.
TMS Center of New Orleans' Dr. Degan Dansereau, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and has completed advanced training in TMS including a visiting Fellowship at Duke University that was lead by scientific leaders in TMS and brain stimulation. Dr. Dansereau has also completed an intensive TMS course at the Medical University of South Carolina that was led by Mark George, M.D., who is considered the "Father" of TMS in psychiatry.
We are the only TMS provider in Louisiana that accepts Medicare, and we have staff very skilled at maximizing our patients' insurance coverage. The main barriers to patients receiving TMS have historically been time and affordability. We leverage our technology and expertise to overcome those barriers.
Your initial consultation will allow you and Dr. Dansereau to discuss your symptoms, treatment history, and whether TMS is an appropriate treatment for you. If you are a candidate, your first TMS treatment session can be scheduled to begin immediately. All TMS treatment plans are tailored to a patient's unique needs, are monitored carefully, and are changed by Dr. Dansereau if needed. We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. How TMS is done matters!
