This weekend, I took some $ from our profits and bought supplies for making meals to our local Community Fridges. I’m not looking for appreciation or approval, but I’m looking to spread activism. During the longest government shutdown down in American History and as the city struggles with a $100 mil+ deficit, it’s the least we can do to feed our children and those in need. You can cook meals for dirt cheap and put them in fridges or volunteer at your local community organizations. Take a moment and show some compassion for those affected and truly with a need that might go unmet. Please refrain from making any political comments as they will be deleted. This issue transcends everyone, and we cannot afford to hate each other in our most desperate time of need. We’re New Orleanians and Americans before we’re Democrats and Republicans. ❤️
