Child’s Pose
Safety in our world is fleeting and the uncertainty of it creates suffering in our psyche. This suffering presents itself as fear, anger, and reaction based. Trying to let go of these emotions may lead us to anxiety with a feeling of nothing to hold on to or anything to ground into. This is why becoming the architect of your conscious being is important. Creating strength from within, balance within the emotions, clarity to step back and recognize situations for what they are. This is the truth of child’s pose. The safe harbor to your reactions, the moment to escape into the internal world, a moment to stretch the built up tension out of your spine.
As a society we hold heat and this posture is cooling and comforting. Use it as a tool not just a moment to rest. When you are ready, return with strength and vigor.
