🙌🙌SUCCESS STORY🙌🙌

Mr. Andrew Armstrong came to our clinic with sharp sacral or tailbone pain anytime he would sit. Sitting at work and at home was agitating for him and affected his quality of life. We can no sit comfortably knowing that Mr. Armstrong can sit comfortably and has the tools/exercises to combat this pain in the future so that it doesn't happen again. At Xtreme, one of our main goals is to make patients not only comfortable but to give them home exercise programs that promote independence so that we can discharge them in as timely of a manner as possible. We thank Mrs. Saputo for entrusting our team with her healthcare needs. She was treated for back pain with radiculopathy or lumbar spine pain with sciatica. The pain affected her ability to walk her dog and she had difficulty sleeping. Both of which she can do now that she has allowed us to be a catalyst in improving her quality of life. When Mr. Clarence Johnson first walked into our clinic, it was difficult for him to bend at the waist or touch his toes. He would experience considerable pain in his lower back when he would get up in the morning. Mr. Johnson also expressed difficulty with getting dressed especially putting on socks. He was limited in his ability to lift and pick up things. Now that he has finished his course of treatment, his mobility has increased greatly. He now has little to no pain when he gets up in the morning, getting dressed is much better and it's alot easier to bend and reach his feet. Give it up for Mr. Johnson!

"Yoga adds years to your life, and life to your years."

Mrs. Elizabeth S Larose came to us after a fall that resulted in a fracture to her patella or kneecap in June of this year. When she started therapy she was using a walker. We were able to progress her quickly to a cane and then ultimately no assistive device. Now she reports, "I can do everything I did before my injury! My knee is better than before. I really do attribute this to the great care I got at Xtreme."

We are happy to announce Xtreme P.T. will be REOPENING this Tuesday September 14th! Our clinic sustained minimal damage and has power! Luckily all of our staff were able to remain safe throughout Ida and the aftermath. Mrs. Nell Bridges started Physical Therapy after having her knee replaced in April. Following surgery she had fallen twice prior to start of Physical Therapy, was always fatigued and was in constant knee pain. Mrs. Bridges has made great functional progress improving strength and range of motion at her knee. Her balance is much better and she no longer falls. Give it up for Mrs. Bridges for her recent graduation from Xtreme Physical Therapy University! She finished in the top of her class!

Mrs. Tamiko Pounds entrusted our team with her healthcare needs after a total knee replacement. When she started Therapy in May, she was very limited physically. She was only able to walk very short distances with a rolling walker and was unable to drive. She now can ambulate community distances and drive safely! Give it up for Mrs. Pounds! She deserves it!

Mrs. Lassere came to us after having Bilateral TKA surgery, i.e. both knees were replaced. When she first started therapy she was unable to play with her grandkids or walk long distances both of which she is now able to do! "After being hit by a car, I was experiencing extreme back, neck and head pain. I couldn't stand or sit for any length of time. I experienced consistent pain all throughout the day. Activities, responsibilities, my job and family were all greatly affected. I was unable to go back to work, or sustain any sitting, standing or walking for too long of a period of time. All my regular daily life activities, responsibilities and chores were extremely limited and tremendously affected. Months later, I am now getting back to normal life, daily activities, responsibilities and living life, enjoying being able to do things with my family and becoming active once again! Mr. Davis entrusted the Xtreme P.T. team with his care after a partial knee replacement. When he first started therapy, he was very frustrated and admitted that he began to question if he would ever regain full range of motion at the knee. Mr. Davis however put the hard work in and now has full ROM. When asked, "What is your present state?" this is what Mr. Davis had to say: "FANTASTIC! I love the diversity in employment and the staff is awesome. I even enjoyed the friendly interactions with the front office staff. I will definitely recommend Xtreme to others."

Mr. Jesse Byrd came to Xtreme P.T. after sustaining a 90% tear of his right rotator cuff and undergoing subsequent surgery. On his initial evaluation day the right arm was totally immobile in a sling. He was extremely limited because he could not bathe or drive himself initially and could not work. This is what Mr. Byrd has to say now that he has completed his treatment here: "I'm back! I'm about 100% and can do everything I was doing before the injury. I also learned exercise techniques to prevent this injury from reoccuring. Thanks Xtreme!"

He is a big Lebron fan so it was only right to strike the iconic chalk toss pose. Thanks for always making therapy fun Mr. Byrd!

Mrs. Lassere first came to Xtreme with severe knee pain. She could barely walk and could not find any relief even with wearing a brace. She entrusted our team with her healthcare needs and now she is able to walk without any pain! Mrs. Donnita Searles came to our Physical Therapy clinic after having a TKA or Total Knee Arthroplasty (full knee replacement). On her Initial Evaluation day she could barely move. Her knee was extremely weak, it would lock up on her and she couldn't bend or flex her knee past 90 degrees. She also presented with antalgic gait meaning she couldn't spend as much time standing on her left side while walking. Now she is walking with normal gait and says she is, "able to do much more. I have the ability to enjoy life again and do things with my husband!".

Mrs. Carolyn Dibartolo started Physical Therapy 4 weeks ago with complaints of low back pain and right hip pain. Her symptoms began to dissipate within her first 3 visits. By the end of the second week she was experiencing little to no pain. The last 2 weeks were spent strengthening her core to avoid a return of her symptoms. Mrs. Mangum entrusted our team with her health care when she came into our clinic to be treated for shoulder pain. At the time she was unable to sleep on her shoulder and had difficulty moving her arm in all planes. Mr. Darryl Richardson walked into our clinic with excruciating left sided low back pain. His daily life was affected as he had difficulty walking, lifting and was only able to sleep in certain positions. Mrs. Evans came to Xtreme P.T. very insecure with how she was moving. She walked with a cane and could not get out of a chair without needing help. She is retired but had a hard time living independently. She could not get her garbage to the can or the curb. She had to hold on to furniture to get around her home. Now she is no longer walking like a "penguin" (her words not ours😅). She can stand straight, walk without help and can even go up and down stairs with a railing safely. Give it up for Mr. Troy Bush ! When he started Physical Therapy after arthroscopic knee surgery he was in extreme pain and down spirited. He thought he would have to learn to live with this pain saying, "I had just retired after 30 years of working in Law Enforcement, ready to enjoy the fruits of my labor and was knocked down😞". Give it up for Mrs. Kimbel Treat Noah Burt is officially graduating from Xtreme P.T.! Mrs. Burt came to P.T. for the 2nd time after injuring her knee suffering a Biceps Femoris Hamstring strain. Mrs. Burt is a special education teacher and could not get through her day without pain. "I could barely move or exercise after work or with the kids". Now she is feeling great after every session, she would feel a little bit better and now she feels like she is back to her prior level of function! Mr. Joseph Pierre started Physical Therapy with pain and stiffness about his L knee. His knee would pop frequently and he could not put on socks and shoes. He was unable to work, climb stairs without frequent rest breaks and could not care for his grandchildren. Now he is able to work, take care of himself and have fun with his grandchildren again! He says he is "Extremely Satisfied" and so are we! I mean look at what he's able to do now!

Mr. Raymond Ussin Jr started Physical Therapy with severe left shoulder pain. He could not raise his left arm above his chest. He also experienced a catching sensation eccentrically or when lowering his arm down. He works with his hands daily so this had a serious affect on his ability to work, home life and hobbies. Mr. Theriot first came in to Xtreme with a 5 week history of left sided low back pain that radiated into his L hip, thigh and lower leg. He rated his pain a 10/10 during the initial evaluation and complained of feeling like his back would lock up on him whenever he stood up. Now that Mr. Theriot has graduated from Xtreme P.T. University he rates his low back pain a 0/10. They say pictures speak a thousand words. That definitely holds true in this instance but I'll let you be the judge as you can see Mr. Theriot has graced us with his handyman skills to fix some things around here. Christy Crosby started Physical Therapy in October after sustaining a bimalleolar fracture rollerblading that required an open reduction internal fixation surgery. Her recovery was further complicated by soft tissue damage in her forefoot that had been present for 10 years prior. When she started P.T. she was on crutches in a CAM boot and unable to drive, shower or get around without a taxing effort. She was unable to do most of her normal activities. Now Mrs Crosby no longer needs our services! "I was able to move to walking without assistance so quickly and the work I did at PT gave me the confidence to keep pushing myself. Now my right side is stronger than my left!"

Mrs. Mayfield started physical therapy with severe neck pain, back pain, numbness in her right upper extremity, numbness and tingling in her left hand and fingers. She was unable to sit, stand or lay down without severe pain. She was unable to do basic housework only being able to manage basic self care tasks with maximum medication dosages. Now, "I'm feeling 1000% better, minimal tingling at times in 2 fingers. No more muscle pain on the right side of my body, have been able to resume life!!! And activities I feel so much better and life changing. Not sure what I would have done without Brian and the team!!!"

It is Ms. Vigne's graduation day! "When I started physical therapy I had moderate to severe neck pain that limited my ability to turn my head to either side. It is graduation day for Lary Hesdorffer!
When Mr. Lary started physical therapy he had serious difficulty using his left shoulder with common activities secondary to frozen shoulder. He was severely limited in all kinds of household tasks from reaching to the top shelf of a cabinet to removing clothes from the washer or putting a leash on one of his SEVERAL dogs. Now he has returned to using his left arm without hesitation!

When Mr. Albert first came to Xtreme P.T., he suffered from low back pain with radiating pain into both legs. He could not stand for more than 5 or 10 mins without any pain. He had a hard time doing most daily tasks. Standing, walking or even sitting in one spot was very difficult for him. Now Mr. Albert feels much better and can perform his activities of daily living more easily. 🎊🎉It is graduation day for Ms. Hammond! Ms. Hammond came to Xtreme P.T. for help with alleviating pain from a condition called interstitial cystitis (a painful bladder condition). Her severe pain was affecting her personal life limiting her work production and life enjoyment. Currently, Ms. Hammond is feeling much better after learning many pelvic floor exercises that have helped her tremendously with the help of our team!

🎊We are happy to say it is graduation day for Mrs. Page! She underwent lumbar fusion surgery in June and started outpatient Physical Therapy with the Xtreme team in September. When she started therapy, she was in so much pain that she was unable to walk long distances, had difficulty bending forward and poor balance. At the time she was unable to do her usual housework having to rely heavily on her family. We are blessed to give Mrs. Page some independence back in her daily life, "I am much better. I am able to walk longer distances. My balance is so much better and I am able to do my own housework!"🎊
