Big shift, yall! From the scene stealing sign of Leo to the behind the scenes sign of Virgo. From the bold and extroverted Lion to the shy and demure Virgin, these 2 signs couldn't be more different. Virgos are the natural healers of the zodiac and love to be in the position to be of service to others. They are detailed and methodical and many go into healthcare and research to be able to use their natural abilities. They also make amazing organizers and project managers. If you need to make something go off without any drama, find a Virgo and it'll be done right. Really, every Virgo I know has it together. Heads up to all my crabby krewe! The planet of luck and expansion is meeting up with the planet of love and resources, in your sign, and for anyone with a major Cancer presence in your astrological chart, this is a special occasion. Now I'm not saying you'll win the powerball but you will be the benefactor of both these powerful planets joining forces to help support you and all your endeavors. AstroAlert - Mercury Coming Out Of Retrograde!
We we made it! Another doozy of a retrograde has come to a close. For the past 3 weeks we have all been getting punked by the planet of timing, communication, technology, equipment and anything requiring forward motion. Most of y'all know the drill which is not to do anything really big when this planetary aspect occurs but we can't avoid it all together so usually at least one kerfuffle happens to us all. The really good news is that today, all that starts to straighten out. I wouldn't pull out all the stoppers just yet and would give it till the end of the week really to be out of the woods. Some people say wait 2 full weeks before moving anything forward but many of us don't have the luxury to just stop living for 5 to 6 weeks every few months when Mercury Retrogrades occur so I say that by this Friday we should be out of the woods completely, at least as far as Mercury is concerned. We still have a bunch of planets going backwards but Mercury Retrograde is the one that seems to cause the most tangible troubles here on Earth so I am getting ready to pop the cork in celebration that we can all breath a sigh of relief till November when it'll go retrograde again. Till then, I wish everyone a little normalcy, ease and joy as we get back to making life happen again.

Planets on Parade - Keep Looking Up!
Well, here is for a bit of levity, for the rest of the month we have a big second line happening in the sky. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all meeting up to have a little party up above. While these planets will be aligning visually, only Jupiter and Venus are in the same sign of Cancer or what we call conjunct so this happening is more interesting for astronomers than astrologers but it will still look pretty cool. In the dark of night you can turn your gaze upward and see them all hanging out reminding us that we are part of a greater cosmology that makes magic happen when it works together in unison and that we are always stronger when we stand united.

Remember that old saying "plenty of fish in the sea"? Well this full moon is your reminder that abundance is everywhere. Occurring not long after the harvest holiday Lammas, this Full Moon shines it's bright light upon all the treasures we've been tending to the past few months and reminds us to count our blessings which are many. This lunar cycle is happening in the sign of Aquarius the water bearer, coming to fill our cup to overflowing. Take a moment and write a gratitude list and see how much you've got that are positives in your life. Doing this is the most powerful tool to create abundance. This sign is also the great philanthropist of the zodiac and really shows up to make the world a better place which makes this a powerful time to make a difference. AstroAlert - Mars in Libra - 8/6 till 9/22
The God of War, Mars, has just entered the Sign of Justice, Libra, and we can all expect some sparks to fly. First off Libra is the exact opposite of the sign of Mars which is Aries. That right off the bat could create some tensions as this combination is a bit at odds by it's very nature. Libra hates confrontation while Mars thrives on it. Libra is a lover and Mars is a fighter. Now there could be some good that comes out of this that takes us through the rest of the summer. Both Mars and Libra hate injustices and so could join forces to help force peace in this world. My only concern with this transit is the road to peace could be fraught with aggression as sometimes things need to get worse while they get better. I also feel that this planetary combo could sometimes leave us drained because the 2 energies are so foreign to each other. This could manifest in folks feeling cranky and frustrated. On the plus side Libra can bring some softness where life has felt hard and it can provide us the energy to seek peaceful resolutions rather than conflict and strife. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the world stage. For our own lives, pay attention to where you may have Libra and/or Aries in your chart and also what planet rules your Mars. Astrology acts as both your own personal owner's manual and also your roadmap of what lies ahead. It's not meant to frighten but more to prepare and understand. Knowledge is power is one of my favorite sayings and astrology is definitely meant to empower us on our journey. One last tip about this transit is that Libra is very creative and you could feel a whole surge of artistic energy in your life and you'll have to drive to actually use it. The planet of LOVE has slipped into the sign of NURTURING and we all are about to start spoiling those we love and we might even feel spoiled in return. The sign of the crab is very maternal and domestic and puts us all into full on caretaker mode. Empathy runs high as does psychic sensitivity and that can make us all a bit touchy and emotional. AstroAlert - 7/30 till 1/2 - Chiron Goes Retrograde in Aries!

Adding to the 4 planets currently in retrograde let's toss in Chiron, The Wounded Healer, to add another layer to what we all got going on now. Chiron represents our own healing journey, with ourselves and others, and when it goes backwards it can reopen some old wounds in us and in those we love. This can be an amazing time when you can connect with any parts of you that feel unwell or ill at ease. It's not unusual to shed tears during these transits and we have about 6 months with this. Real healing takes some time so this isn't a bad thing. It will be retrograde in the sign of Aries which is all about the self. That sign and Libras will feel this most but we will all be affected. Now I am not a fear based person so I'm not saying this as any kind of warning. Folks can really lose perspective when talking about retrogrades when they are actually beneficial time outs which help us re-calibrate our true north and heal whatever ails you. Don't be afraid but pay heed to any discomforts, within or without, and get to making them better.
