A beautiful, warm, inviting yoga studio and wellness center in the heart of mid-city New Orleans. FAQ + Common Questions

- We enter the studio through the back garden, walk along the bamboo pathway along the side of the house. The lot next to the studio is not ours.

- Secure bike parking available in the back of our building.

- Showers available for use after class.

- We have mats to borrow.



- Bring a water bottle, we do not sell bottled water. We have a filter where you can refill your bottle.

- We also have Las Brujas coffee for sale after morning classes.

Rolf Movement Series with Lorraine 
4 Weeks: August 3 - 24th 

Sundays: 1:00- 2:15pm 

During a Rolf Movement class we’re working towards gaining awareness of the subtle actions that are occurring in the body, such as bracing or “tightness”, and to discover easier more efficient ways of moving, standing, and sitting. We’re also working on discovering the potential for movement that we each have but which is often inaccessible due to habitual ways of moving.

Classes consist of slow gentle movement patterns guided with verbal and hands-on cues. Examples include: the tilt of our pelvis, the rotation of our shoulders, and the flexion and extension of our spine. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothing and to bring a yoga mat if they have one.

This series is sold as a package of 4 classes. Each class is $25 for a total of $100 for the entire series. Each week we will focus on a different area of the body as follows:

Session 1: Hips & Legs
Explore the subtle and not-so-subtle actions that occur when we walk, and work to discover a gait unique to us that is both supportive and effortless.

Session 2: Shoulders & Arms
Work to counter some of the common effects from our computer-phone-driving culture by exploring shoulder mobility and shoulder placement.

Session 3: Head & Neck
Learn techniques for relieving anxiety and stress, as well as loosening tension in the head and neck.

Session 4: Spine & Core
Learn the core and it’s many definitions as we work to find buoyancy, lift, and length throughout our body.

Due to the progressive nature of this series, bookings for all 4 sessions only.

Course meets Saturdays August 3rd - 24th

Summer Solstice Fire Flow with Victoria, Saturday, June 21, 2025, 10am-12pm

Celebrate the summer solstice through a Traditional Chinese Medicine lens, focusing on the Fire element. We'll honor summer's peak yang energy, building heat with sun salutations and vigorous movement before cooling down and finding balance with yin and restorative postures. Expect a balanced practice including breathwork, steady movement to build heat and activate yang energy, targeted myofascial release work, and cooling yin shapes to find calm and grounding.

Open to all levels, though some prior practice experience is recommended.

Restorative Yoga with LIVE Sacred Music

This 90 minute class is designed to help students ground the body and mind, while uplifting the spirit and heart; an opportunity to reset in the midst of these challenging times.

The session will begin with 20 minutes of gentle movement before settling into a series of restorative poses. Erin will offer optional supportive adjustments while LalitaDasika creates a healing soundscape woven with sacred mantras.

We are pleased to welcome Aymé Haydel for this special offering. Come reset after the holiday and set intentions for the new year ✨️

This in-person event is the perfect opportunity for women to come together, share stories, and support each other in a safe and welcoming space. We will walk through a few helpful practices that you can welcome into your daily life such as meditation, breathwork, and somatic movement. Our journal prompts are carefully curated to have you feeling empowered to start off the new year right. This will be a donation-based event of suggested $5-$15. 🎉8:00-9:00am Self Practice (No verbal guidance or adjustments), Students have the freedom to practice their own yoga practice in a supportive environment. The teacher practices with students.

🎉9:00-10:00am Mysore Ashtanga (Guidance & Adjustments are given), This is the time to learn the Ashtanga system.

*Mysore is open for all levels in a clear, safe and encouraging space. Where you will receive one on one attention and adjustments. You’re encouraged to memorize the Ashtanga postures over time so that you develop your own ritual of practice. This practice is yours to take with you and practice on your own.

(NEW Students to the Mysore style, please arrive around 9am)

Meredith has been practicing and teaching Ashtanga yoga for 20+ years. She made her first trip to Mysore, Indian in 2013 to practice with R. Sharath Jois at KPJAYI. She has completed many teacher trainings with Manju Jois and has a deep understanding of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice and transmits this clearly through her words and hands on adjustments. Meredith was the official yoga teacher for the NBA New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans for seven years , created the app “ Yoga Assist” and is 500 hour ERYT certified. She also is one of our Teachers for our 200hour Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Thursday November 14th Eddie Stern is having a memorial in NYC that will be livestreamed on ZOOM for the passing of R. Sharath Joic. Please read Eddie’s message for more information ⬇️

Dear Friends,

It is with great sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of R. Sharath Jois. He passed away on Monday, November 11th, surrounded by nature, while hiking with students and friends in Virginia.

Sharath’s life was one of complete devotion to the spread of Yoga, to his family, and to his students. He will be deeply missed.

Please join Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor, Barbara Verocchi, Kristin Leigh, John Campbell, Michael Guiou, Maria Rubinate, Jocelyne, me, and others, on Thursday, November 14th, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm to remember, grieve, and memorialize his life and teachings.
