We invite mothers, soon-to-be mothers, and those who uplift and support mothers to join us at Reverie Orleans as we provide information on maternal health, maternal mental health, community resources and breastfeeding support.

On Friday, July 25, medical appointments and pharmacy visits at all DCHC locations will end at 1:30 p.m. and dental and optometry visits will end at 3:00 p.m., due to a staff meeting.

The Algiers, Carrollton and New Orleans East locations will reopen Saturday, July 26. All remaining locations will reopen Monday, July 28. For assistance after hours, please call (504) 207-3060.

Our friends at Jambalaya News Louisiana hosted a great back to school event for local families. We are grateful that DCHC was able to serve the community by providing blood pressure, dental, and vision screenings at the event that took place on July 19 at Apostolado Hispano. DePaul Community Health Centers' Infectious Disease team joined forces with Concerned Citizens for a Better Algiers, Bounce to Zero and other local organizations to provide free HIV testing, educational resources and more on National HIV Testing Day.

The event was held at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church in Algiers on June 24. Attendees also enjoyed food, music and snowballs and had the chance to win prizes.

Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF) held its summer mixer at DCHC Algiers' health center on Thursday, June 12. The quarterly networking event is designed to connect fellow business owners, neighbors and local leaders. Several DCHC associates attended the event. Attendees toured the new health center, and enjoyed refreshments.

DCHC's Vice President of Mission Integration, Matthew Picard, recently graduated from the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Jefferson program. Over the past nine months, Matthew joined more than 40 emerging leaders from across the parish to explore the most pressing issues facing the community, including education, health care, economic development, state legislation and more. Through immersive, hands-on workshops, the graduates laid the groundwork for creating an impact in the community while building meaningful relationships.

Matthew was also selected by his peers to serve as graduation speaker to further inspire the group and highlight the take-aways of the program.
