New Orleans part 2 just sharing a few more snippets of my June visit! Oysters and prints and summer sounds and Louisiana views I miss. Not pictured are all the pals I got to give big squeezes to! 🤗 Since then, I've been enjoying returning to my pets and rhythms of my sweet little life I've slowly created for myself out on the west coast. My books are still open if you're looking for a trauma informed, body inclusive, q***r massage therapist in the East Bay! I've been a practicing massage therapist for nearly a decade, am a dedicated anatomy student, and have supported clients with a wide range of body experiences from surgery recovery, to repetitive stress injuries, to somatic reintegration. Massage can be an incredible preventative health care tool and it is work I am extremely dedicated to. Go where the links are to book and I'll see you at the ! 🌞🌊 https://meghanjohnson.as.me/

The longer it took me to post this, the more anti ai gems I found! 😆 today seemed like a good enough day to post about this lil block print I made recently. However you’re spending the day, please be safe and remember that as more neighbors and loved ones lose healthcare and access to basic needs, we’ll only have each other! Even if a robot can pick us up from the airport or deliver food or make terrible art, it’ll cost money that we can put toward our communities, so we’re better off doing those things for each other. Love you! ❤️‍🔥🧨🎆

Nola visit for the heart and soul part 1!
What a dream, massaging once regulars and catching up with loved ones, visiting old stomping grounds, listening to the songs of cicadas and afternoon thunderstorms. I’ve missed being here so much. New Orleans, thank you for still loving me! 🥰
I brought lots of tinctures if any of these formulas sounds like they’d be supportive to you. Many are recipes from and others are my own creations. 1 oz - $18, 2 oz - $32.
Keep loving, keep fighting my dears ❤️‍🔥

🎤 testing testing 🎤

New Orleans! This is an experiment to gauge interest so I can determine if I’m able to swing a visit in June. Book a massage with my regular link and select one of the NOLA appointment types. If my books fill up, I’ll be there, if not enough people book, I’ll have to skip this (theoretical) trip and cancel scheduled massages.
Thank you and I hope I get to see you!

🍃 mini story time/new name/new office announcements 🍃

Hello all! I changed my business name and have a new office space to see clients! What was once St Claude Healing Arts is now Handle with Care. It's still me, Meghan, typing on the other end of this post, here for your massage/pottery/herbal medicine/& healing arts needs in the Bay Area, CA.

For those who aren't New Orleans based, I may not have ever explained, but St Claude is the name of a street and main thorough fare where I lived and worked, providing body work and herbs to neighbors and clients, for several years! So simply put the name St Claude Healing Arts when I'm not working on or around St Claude just seems off. I knew when I first started marketing myself and trying to create a client base in California, that it was maybe a little confusing, but amidst the abrupt move, caring for my dad, and so much change in such a short period of time, I stubbornly wanted something to stay the same, even if it didn't totally make sense. I also straight up did not have the bandwidth for the multi step and many little decision process of a rebrand. Plus, what's wrong with an artsy healing business being a little creatively mysterious (said the scorpio)? A year and a half later, I'm ready for this little sprucing up! A name is just a name, but a location specific one is worth updating when your location changes.

Of course what feels harder to admit is the emotional piece, perhaps letting go of a frontward facing nod to the city I love and miss so much was its whole other layer. I have made really sweet connections with people here who recognized St Claude in my name at art markets and we got to bond over the tough love of New Orleans and the feelings of being far away. But changing my business name of course does not mean I won't massage in New Orleans again (hopefully in September, in fact)! Thanks for witnessing my clunky and imperfect process.

My booking site is where you can schedule a massage on Mondays and Wednesdays at the wonderful and if you're in San Francisco, I work at on Sundays.

Hi 👋🏼 wowza holy march amiright?!
Since I last posted, I navigated a really stressful move (still in the bay), let go of more of my dads belongings, thought I maybe got fired from my spa job (I didn’t!), and got yelled at at a dog park so horrendously, I left crying and couldn’t find my dog’s ball. I also started an advanced herbalism program with terrasylvaschool and feel really connected to my friends, near and far. How’s your March been??

I learned about a fun setting on 3tsy that lets you make me an offer on my listings! Here’s some things that have been sitting in my sh0p or were seasonal for Valentine’s Day that I’d love to send to you. There’s a limit to how much of a discount I’ll take, but I’m not telling what it is so, hop over and see if you can guess. 😉

I hope in this eclipse & Pisces season with Venus and Mercury retrograde you’re still finding solace and inspiration in friends and community and letting the snafus and miscommunications be lessons to surrender to rather than impossibilities to try and manage. ❤️‍🔥

I see yall boycotting and fighting oligarchy in all the big and little ways. Keep it up! Every thread matters! 🧵 🪡 🏴

This condolences card and dead dad club sticker are most purchased items in my Etsy shop. I’ve been really missing my dad lately as the one year anniversary is coming up and although a different texture and less foggy, the loss has been feeling as fresh as ever. I wrote these cards to normalize offering support to grievers, no matter the timeline. These are often purchased in a pack of 5 and I love the idea of folks wanting to have something heart felt and on hand. It’s so hard to know what to say with people’s grief and I’m really touched my words are helping people connect over loss. Whether it’s soon after a death, weeks, months, or the anniversary years later, I hope these cards offer a way to fill the silence when we don’t know quite what to say. 💐💐🪦🪦🩵🩵
