“Today was my last ultrasound appointment at my fertility clinic. I am 10 weeks +4 days. I was able to see my Little Love move and kick. I heard the heartbeat for the first time. If you’ve experienced that before, then you know how special that moment is.

I asked one of my longtime friends from grad school if she wanted to come with me to this appointment. She didn’t hesitate in telling me she would be there. She is a mom of two girls. She’s been down this road of fertility treatments and pregnancy before. It was really special to have her there. My support people have been amazing throughout this journey.

My clinic gave me a graduation gift of this precious onesie with their logo! I can’t say ‘Thank you’ enough to Audubon Fertility for making this possible and successful.

I also had NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) today. This test can reveal the gender of my baby, but I don’t want to know until birth! So y’all will have to make your predictions and wait to know for sure!” —

We wore orange yesterday during our Team Building to support National Infertility Awareness Week! Why orange? The color orange promotes a sense of wellness, emotional energy to be shared: compassion, passion, and warmth. National Infertility Awareness Week Post: “• REAL LIFE POST• 🤞🏻 The many faces of infertility and all the emotions that go along with the diagnosis. My normally positive personality has taken a toll through my illness these past (almost) 7 years and this new journey is just another reminder of how important it truly is to not let any journey take your spirit. ✨🌈 The Meds, shots, all the ultrasounds and labs, the financial burden it takes to do this. And then comes the letdown from a negative pregnancy test. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for those that wanted to be parents but their bodies couldn’t physically make it happen. Although, I never imagined I would be here, esp at 25 (almost) but I know this is just another chapter and a part of the testimony god is wanting me to share.
