Radiya Trusty has been an accredited Massage Therapist since 2011. She received her AS in Holistic Health from the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, CA, specializing in Neuromuscular Therapy and Thai Massage. She worked for two years in San Diego before moving to New Orleans where she worked at Belladonna Day Spa before establishing her own practice. She has worked in numerous environments in the wellness industry including spas, fitness centers, and chiropractic offices. Radiya believes that massage should be a personal and continuous experience. By integrating energy work with hands-on therapies, she creates a state conducive to healing both the mind and body, and provides lasting relief. Her goal is to show that massage, when received consistently, is as important to any health regimen as nutrition and exercise, and is a vital part of wellness maintenance.

Well lovelies, it's been a minute since a menu update. Nothing too dramatic, but starting August 15 the diggzHolistic treatment menu will better reflect that session times may vary according to your body's specific needs. Yes, prices are going up BUT I am now happy to offer sliding scale sessions-for those who still may prefer shorter sessions or may need a little help with funding your wellness practice from time to time. The good news is that all sessions and packages purchased before August 15 will be honored at their original rate so you still have time to book your appointments before prices go up!

Happy Mardi Gras! While I opted to avoid the madness this year, I will be back next week to take care of your Mardi Gras body recovery needs. In addition to the amazing .bipolar event happening this Sunday, I am also introducing a Fatigue Recovery Relief package this month. This package addresses fatigue from both a physical and energetic perspective, providing relief for both the body and the spirit. You have the option of a traditional relaxing massage (tailored, as always, to fit your individual needs) or a Thai Massage for those who need a little extra stretching with their relief.
Whether you went a little too hard this carnival season or are just stressed out from *gestures indirectly to the whole world for the last two years* any of the other madness happening, I've got you covered for resetting your body and mind. Book online or call today!

Happy New Year! This was definitely supposed to be posted a week ago but Rona fatigue + general end of year malaise made it so that it's happening today lol. But this year we are acknowledging what's getting done and not dwelling on mistakes. This year we are focusing on what serves us and striving toward our true purpose. We're choosing self-care over self-sabotage, health over burnout. And in light of all that, for the month of January, I am offering you a chance to secure your wellness goals at a discounted price. The more you purchase, the better the discount, so whether you come in monthly or just a few times a year your bodywork goals can be set.
Let's start the year off right by making your wellness goals a reality.

Today my massage career turns 10 years old! (If you get newsletters from me, this is a shorter version of the email that went out today but I wanted to celebrate on the gram too!) 🎉
It's hard to believe that I've been able to commit to anything this long, but I couldn't have done it without a strong educational foundation and amazing clients that keep me dedicated and wanting to always learn and be better at my craft. I am beyond grateful that I am even able to work right now. One of the silver linings of the shutdown was that so many of you realized, albeit in the least desirable way possible, how important touch, and especially healing touch was in your own lives. Since I've reopened, business has been better than ever, and that's majorly in part to your dedication to your wellness, as well as the lovely referrals so many of you have passed along my way. So THANK YOU for helping me be great.
Although I can now officially be considered a veteran in the game, imposter syndrome is real and a battle I fight with on a daily basis. A large part of overcoming that is recognizing that ten years of knowledge is probably worth sharing. As a proud Xennial who still very often feels like an analog girl in this increasingly digital world, I've struggled a lot with finding my place in these internet streets. But growth happens outside of our comfort zone and so I am working on pushing through the self-doubt and perfectionism (I know some of y'all relate) and providing more self-care content in the near future. I'd love to hear what you'd be interested in learning about from me!
Whether it's been a month or several years, thank you so much for letting my wellness journey intersect with yours. Healing is a collective process, and the more of us that make wellness a priority, the stronger we all can become. Here's to all of our fantastic futures 💚

Happy October! As much of a heat lover as I am, Autumn is actually my favorite season! Luckily here in New Orleans we get the best of both worlds. All the smells and feels of Fall (Gumbo! Pumpkin! Apple cider!) combined with some of the most gorgeous days of the year. As someone who generally functions in all the grey areas, this season of transition and preparation for rest is right up my alley. October is also the birth month of both of my babies, human and career, and of course spooky season!!! What's not to love?

To get the most out of these beautiful days, I'm offering outdoor mat sessions either in your own backyard or in some of our lovely public spaces if your yard doesn't have the room. Enjoy the fresh air while getting balanced physically and mentally with a relaxing Thai Massage or Jin Shin energy session. In a time when we can't travel much, an outdoor massage is the perfect mini staycation to get back to your mind and body! All outdoor sessions must be booked via phone or email. And yes, masks are still required ☺

Grateful for clients who see the value in my work 🙏🏾 I do my best to provide a safe space physically and mentally for your bodywork needs! If you have any questions or concerns before making an appointment, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to make sure you have the best experience possible, so that you can live your best life possible!

I'm excited to announce that I am back to full time hours and will be accepting all clients new and old! Online booking is also up and running again (previous clients only, all new client appointments must be scheduled via phone or email). In this time of sitting home more often and multiple stressors seemingly coming from everywhere, a massage is probably exactly what you need right now! Give yourself a break.

Appointments are available starting next week. Session availability is still currently limited to 75 or 95 minutes (Gotta build up that stamina to be in a mask for two hours y'all, but I promise I'll be there soon). Activities like massage are considered close contact and as such, require masks to be worn at all times. I follow strict cleaning protocols before and after each client, to ensure as safe a session as possible and am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I also ask that you do not come in for an appointment if you are at risk of spreading infection, for the safety of my other clients, myself and my family. Any appointments that need to be cancelled or rescheduled for COVID reasons will have the cancellation fee waived. See you on the table soon!

Joyous Juneteenth! This morning I woke up and saw that five years ago I stated this day would never be celebrated nationally. As a Black woman in America, who was raised with knowledge and pride of everything my people have suffered and accomplished, often in spite of, Black joy has always been important to me. It is the voice behind our fight for freedom, and the source of our enduring strength. It is the ultimate intention behind our dharma. When we seek enlightenment we are seeking the ultimate joy. And Every. Single. Person. on this planet deserves to feel that.
From a wellness perspective, joy is the purest source of health. My goal every session is for my client to leave a little more joyful, a little less stressed, and thus that much healthier. Honestly, my main goal is life is to find a way for as many people to feel joyful as possible, as much as possible. But doing so involves dismantling systems that are created to take joy, to take freedom, and to limit the opportunities we are alleged to have access to. Joy comes from everyone's life mattering, regardless of their skin color, who they choose to love, or what they choose to do with their bodies. Regardless of being suspected of crimes. Joy comes when we are free to be our authentic selves. Joy comes from justice, joy is peace.
Today I encourage you to find your joy. Do what makes your soul happy. Honor the ancestors who learned today that their hope for freedom was not futile. Remember to have hope that the change that is still needed will come. I never believed so many would celebrate this day, and that gives me hope that there will be more days to celebrate in the future. Let freedom, ring y'all. And let it ring joyously.
