Spring is in the air and Krewe of Kids Pediatrics wants you and your family to have a happy and healthy festival season! See our tips below for combating seasonal allergies.

•Reduce exposure to outdoor allergens
•Staying inside when the pollen and mold count are high can be helpful
•Hand-washing, bathing and changing your child’s clothing after outdoor play
•Use recommended allergy medication as instructed to ease symptoms
•Most allergy medication takes multiple days to be effective, so continue medication for a full week before discontinuing.
•The allergy medication only works if your child is consistently taking medication as instructed.
•Pets tend to shed more in warmer weather, so keep in mind that pet dander can potentially trigger an allergy response.
