Join us for another installment of Vibing & Thriving with Dr. Umieca, where we will focus on the power of healthy boundaries. In this experience, you will learn how to create, reinforce, and maintain boundaries that honor your needs, while exploring how to communicate them clearly, confidently, and unapologetically.

Pausing to reflect is a powerful form of self-care. It allows us to slow down, reconnect, and respond to ourselves with intention rather than urgency. This week, we invite you to be intentional about your well-being:

Identify 5 things you are grateful for or 5 things that went well

Speak 4 affirmations, quotes, or scriptures that support your wellness

Choose 3 ways you will show up for yourself

Commit to 2 ways to care for your body

Engage in 1 thing that brings you joy and moves your heart

Let us know in the comments how you plan to show up for yourself this week.

looks like getting out of bed, attending sorority meeting, and spending time with Sorors. Thriving in spite of grief! Happy Mother’s Day (in advance).

It's mental health awareness month and we are actively working towards helping more Black people access affordable therapy services. But we need your support! A daily vote from you helps get us closer to offering therapy scholarships to the community.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’ve partnered with my friend and colleague, Dr. Bianca Crudup of Ascend Health & Wellness Center in Tampa, Florida, for a brief but meaningful conversation on recognizing the signs of stress and learning how to manage it with intention.

Stress shows up in different ways, and learning to recognize it is the first step toward caring for yourself more intentionally.

Take a moment to pause and check in with yourself. What is one sign of stress you’ve noticed, and how will you respond to it this week?

If this message resonates with you, share it with someone who may need it and let us know one way you plan to show up for yourself this week.
